Chapter 7 - Milestones of Growth: Dilemmas in Pursuing Past Dreams

A year passes like a dream for Sandra and Monica. Under Kania's attentive and meticulous guidance, they grow rapidly into promising young designers. Their perseverance and talent shine brightly at Our Daily Edit, the renowned boutique where they are interning.

One afternoon, in the midst of their busy schedule fulfilling orders, Kania approaches Sandra and Monica with a wide smile.

"I have great news for both of you!" she exclaims. "You two are officially being promoted to full-time employees at Our Daily Edit!"

Sandra and Monica exchange looks, unable to believe this happy news. Their year-long struggle has paid off. Tears of joy stream down their cheeks as Kania pins the full-time employee badges on their chests.

"Thank you so much, Kania!" Sandra exclaims, hugging Kania tightly. "We will never forget your kindness."

"You both deserve it," Kania replies, patting their shoulders affectionately. "You have both worked hard and shown extraordinary talent."

In the midst of their happiness, Kania shares some unexpected news. "Oh, yes, almost forgot," she says. "I just received an email from Oscar de la Renta. They are opening a job vacancy for talented young designers. This is a very rare opportunity!"

Sandra and Monica's eyes light up at the mention of Oscar de la Renta, one of the world's most famous designers. From a young age, they both admire his work, known for its beauty and elegance. Becoming part of Oscar de la Renta is their biggest dream, buried deep within.

However, their joy quickly turns into doubt. On one hand, they are thrilled about this golden opportunity. On the other hand, they feel reluctant to leave Our Daily Edit, a place that has become their second home over the past year.

"What should we do, Mon?" Sandra whispers to Monica. "I really want to try for Oscar de la Renta, but I also don't want to leave Kania and Our Daily Edit."

Monica pauses for a moment, pondering Sandra's question. "I feel the same way," she says. "This is a tough dilemma. We need to think it through carefully."

Kania, noticing their hesitation, speaks up. "I understand your confusion," she says empathetically. "Oscar de la Renta is an amazing opportunity, but Our Daily Edit has also given you a lot of valuable experiences. You don't need to rush your decision. Think about what is best for yourselves and follow your hearts."

Amidst the warm and laughter-filled atmosphere, they reminisce about their early days of internship, full of obstacles and confusion.

"Do you remember your first day here?" Kania asks, her eyes sparkling. "You both were so nervous and confused. But look at you now, you have become amazing young designers."

Sandra and Monica smile at each other, recalling their early days filled with doubts. "Yes, Kania," Monica replies. "We will never forget all the valuable lessons you have taught us."

Kania raises her glass, inviting them to toast. "Let's toast to our beautiful friendship and a bright future!" Kania exclaims.

Sandra and Monica clink their glasses enthusiastically. In their hearts, they promise to always support each other and pursue their dreams together.
