Introduction Of The Characters

Miguel

He is the eldest of his four brothers. Miguel was one of the top students in his school. He can handle lots more than his brothers can due to the stress his father put him under. Miguel is 23 and works with his father in the family business. He was 11 when his parents divorced. He chose to live in Portugal with his father and two younger brothers. Miguel remembers Alexandre the most and misses him a lot. Miguel has tan skin, dark hair, and green eyes.

Cristiano

Cristiano was more of a wild child in his high school and didn't care about people's feelings and the girls he dated. He always had a soft spot for Lorenzo because Miguel was spending so much more time with their father, so he and Lorenzo teamed up. The 20-year-old does remember bits and pieces of his parent's divorce. The only reason why he lives with his father is because Miguel chose his father and he wanted to be just like Miguel. He works with his father and elder brother in the family business part-time and goes to university to study business. Cristiano has tan skin like his other brothers, dark brown eyes, short curly brown hair, and has mean look, but is a sweet person.

Lorenzo

The 17-year-old boy was always the favorite because when Alexandre left the country with their mother, he was the new baby of the family. Lorenzo is in his last year of school and he gets decent grades but his father always expects more from him. He is expected to help out with the family business but just wants to break away from that and live his own life. Lorenzo has always been close with his brother Cristiano and they are together most of the time. He has tan skin like Miguel but his eyes are a darker green, his hair is more of a caramel brown and is longer, but is kept neat. 

Alexandre

Alexandre is a 14-year-old boy who lives in New York. He isn't living the New York life you might think of. He lives in a dirty and run-down neighborhood. Alex knows his mom is trying hard to give him a good life. He is an almost failing student. It isn't because he's bad at school. It's because he was never able to balance work and school. Alex has long brown hair, and brown eyes that can show emotion, is not as tan as his brothers, and is shorter than all of them.

Manuel

Manuel is the father of four boys. He is very hard on his eldest because he always sees him as the one he could blame. He loved his wife for many years but the relationship just couldn't work. He misses his youngest boy terribly. He loves Lorenzo like crazy and spoiled him rotten growing up, but regrets it because he sees how it's affecting him now, but always feels bad when his too hard on him. He also loved his Cristiano, but he always and still has trouble with him. He's a wild child because he didn't give him enough attention. Manuel misses Alexandre so much and is waiting to meet him again

Maria 

Maria is the mother of the 4 boys and loves them all so much. She also loved her ex-husband but the marriage simply didn't work out. When they got divorced the eldest boys chose to live with their father, so the court decided to give her Alexandre. She works incredibly hard to try and keep up with the bills and other stuff around the house, but it's too much. Maria still talks with her ex-husband regularly because he wants to know what his boy is like.
