Chapter 1: fall in love at a glance

Valentin entered the house, slamming the door, and walked into the hall, saying.

-Hi mom, I couldn't sleep, I have my friend because he's a friend and he arrived and... he stopped in his sentence because he had noticed a girl who was eating next to his sister who didn't know him, he finished that sentence by walking towards his mother who was preparing a plate for him...I had to leave.

He stood next to his mother and asked her, lowering his voice.

-Who is this girl ?

That mother answered him.

-It's Mei, your sister's friend, she's coming to move here for a while.

-Why had I never met him?

-She came when you went to visit your friends. She handed him her plate and said. Now go sit next to your father and eat.

He did as his mother asked. Throughout the meal Valentin didn't stop staring at Mei who was in front of her. She noticed him and turned around to face him. Embarrassed, she held out her hand to him:

-Hi ! My name is...

-Mei, yes I know replied Valentin looking at his hand. Mei shook her hand at one point and folded her hand seeing that he wouldn't take it. But she was not discouraged:

-And what is your name?

-My name is Valentin, I am your friend's big brother.

-Valentine is a beautiful first name.

He lowered his head to hope she hadn't seen who was blushing. Ha gesture, she smiles. He pulled himself together and raised his head, saying:

-Mei it's also a very beautiful first name, I had never heard this name.

Mei blushed even more when she heard Valentin say this sentence. Valentin smiled knowing he had won. They stared at each other until Kiara, Valentin's sister and Mei's best friend, cut the contact between them saying:

-Hey, you're coming, we can go up to my room since we've finished eating.

Kiara turned towards her best friend and opened her eyes wide seeing the duel of gazes. Mei quickly turned around hoping that Kiara wouldn't notice anything. But seeing the expression on Kiara's face she understood that she had turned her head a second too late and that her best friend was going to ask her a thousand questions about what had just happened with her brother. Mei hastened to respond to her friend:

-All right

Keira stared at her best friend for a second then stood up. Mei limited. They went up the stairs four by four.
