Chaos Will Reign

Chapter Fourteen: To Bring Balance Part 1

Finally, the time has come mobilize. The group of gods all gather in the Forest of Knowledge, ready to fight against Chaos and his remaining pair of lackeys. Erii flutters out of the jar she was kept in, and uses her power to open a gate that would take everyone to the Temple of Chaos.

"Beyond this, there's no turning back until we complete our mission. Is everyone ready?" Erii asked.

Everyone nodded in agreement, and they begin to walk through the portal, and into the main lobby of the Temple. Just as they expect, Anny was there, waiting for them. She was still in her enhanced form, sitting on the railing of an upper floor.

"You know, I had a feeling that you would try something like this. But I'm so glad you all came. Saves me the trouble of having to hunt down your save data myself." She says with a cocky grin and floats off her perch. "None of you will leave this place alive!" She declares.

"We'll see about that. Now!" Ava says as she tosses a glass bottle of purple liquid at her.

Assuming this was an attack, Anny blasts it, which causes a smokescreen to obscure her vision. "What the—?!"

With the plan in action, everyone fans out, as Erii closes the portal behind her to make sure Anny doesn't escape through it. Not like she would anyway, but just as a precaution. Once the smoke cleared, Anny sees that the group had split up. She couldn't see where they went but she did know the ones that remained clearly wanted to fight her. Eponine draws her bowstring and glares at the large fairy, while Wisteria put her oni mask over her face.

"Get ready, you human insect. I'm gonna make you regret messing with my crops!" She declares, and fires. The arrow was composed of glowing green energy, that spilt off in multiple beams of light that enclosed on Anny in all directions.

Anny dodged and weaved through the arrows, laughing as she did. As she attempted to blast the Goddess with a Flare spell, her eyes widen suddenly, and she twirls to evade an attack from Wisteria's katana. She then flys upward as Erii thrusts her lance arm at her.

"Hahahahaha! How cute. You're going to fight me like that, sister? Aww, I almost feel bad for you." Anny ridicules her older twin as she casts her spell once again. Bright crimson flames spew from the magic circle at her finger tips, as Erii disappears from sight, while Eponine and Wisteria take cover.

Erii reappears behind Anny and thrusts her lance arm once again, landing a small, yet still significant hit on the larger fairy, stabbing her with the pointy end. "Still as arrogant as ever..." Erii comments as she disappears once again as Anny attempts to swipe at her with her claws.

Eponine steps out of her cover and fires a volley of arrows at Anny. The pivots in the air and puts up a barrier to stop the attack, but the arrows split off into smaller beams once again, causing her to create two barriers on both sides of her. From behind, Wisteria appears once again and swings her sword arm at Anny. She turns to block, but even with a magic barrier, the wolf girl's strength was too much, and she was sent flying into the wall.

She groans and pulls herself from the impact crater and flutters shakily over the ground. "You...insolent whelps...! You should all be...trembling before me...!! I am...the great Anny...!" She growls, clearly enraged.

"You're merely a servant." Eponine says as she draws her bowstring once again. She takes her shot, and the arrow pierces through Anny's chest.

Erii quickly swoops in and snatches the save data that Anny had, and returns to Wisteria's side with the glitching orb in her palms. Once they had the data, Eponine looses another arrow. Right between her eyes.

Green blood runs down her wide eyed face, as she collapses. "Master...Chaos... Save...me..." She mutters as she starts to disappear.

Erii looked distraught from this, but she took a deep breath and removed the save data from herself next. She combines the two glitching orbs together to form one whole, and presents it to Wisteria. "Here..."

Wisteria takes the save data in her hands, and looks at Erii, removing her mask. "You okay...?" She asked the small fairy.

Erii sniffles, but puts on a tough face. "I'm fine...! Honestly, I...couldn't stand her attitude anyway...!" She says, failing at lying.

"It's okay." Eponine says as she walks up to the pair. "She was your sister. One you spent near millennia with. If you wish to mourn, I won't stop you." She says as she presents a wing. It was one of Anny's wings that fell from her head when she crashed. Erii takes it, and holds it close.

"Then...I think I'll do just that..." She says as she flutters over to a small furniture set, holding the wing and crying into it.

Eponine takes a deep breath as well, turns back to Wisteria. "Our fight is complete. Now we just wait for Ava and the others to find Glitch." She says, taking the orb. "You should comfort your fairy. She needs it."

With a nod, Wisteria goes over to Erii and joins her in the mourning. Ava, Homura, and Tine return to the main lobby soon enough, carrying Glitch over their shoulders. The young looking god groans, as Eponine presents the save data. She pushes it back into his body, as he starts to recover slowly but surely.

"Okay. Phase one and two are complete. Now we just for the others to return." Ava says with a smile.

And just as she did, Aella returns. "My save data has been returned to me. Thankfully, there were no other ones here." She reports, her skin glowing as it usually does.

"Oh gods..." Ava blushes from Aella's beautiful body and glowing skin, forgetting just how effective she was at being the Goddess of Lust. She quickly turns her eyes away and clears her throat. "Th-That's good. Very good." She says, trying to remain normal. "Right... Now we just wait for Lord Aileus and Lord Veto return."
