It was autumn evening, the kind that made you want to snuggle up with a warm cup of coffee or tea  and  read a good book. But Amy Lays had other plans. She was excited to meet her  boyfriend at the trendy new bar in town, The Velvet Lounge. The dimly lit ambiance and soft jazz music created the perfect setting for a romantic evening. Amy had spent hours getting ready, trying on different outfits and doing her hair just right. She felt like a million bucks as she walked into the bar, her heels clicking on the polished wooden floor.

As she scanned the room, her eyes landed on her boyfriend, Alex, sitting at the bar, sipping on a drink. Her heart skipped a beat as she made her way towards him, a bright smile on her face. But as she approached, her smile faltered. Alex wasn't alone. He was kissing another girl, his hands wrapped around her waist, his eyes closed in ecstasy. Amy's world came crashing down around her.

She felt like she had been punched in the gut. The air was sucked out of her lungs, and she couldn't breathe. She stood there, frozen, her eyes fixed on the scene before her. The girl, a petite blonde with a pixie cut, was laughing and giggling, clearly enjoying the attention. Alex, her boyfriend of two years, was completely absorbed in the moment, oblivious to Amy's presence.

Amy's mind raced as she tried to process what she was seeing. She felt a wave of nausea wash over her, and her legs trembled beneath her. She took a step back, her eyes never leaving the couple. The music, the chatter, and the clinking of glasses all faded into the background as she focused on the betrayal before her.

Finally, Alex opened his eyes, and his gaze met Amy's. For a moment, they just stared at each other, the tension between them palpable. The blonde girl, sensing the sudden change in atmosphere, turned to face Amy, a look of confusion on her face.

"Amy, I—" Alex started, but Amy cut him off, her voice shaking with anger and hurt.

"What is this, Alex? Who is she?" Amy demanded, her eyes blazing with fury.

Alex, seemingly unfazed, shrugged. "I thought maybe we could have an open relationship. I want to be a free spirit, explore my options."

Amy's eyes widened in disbelief. "An open relationship? You never mentioned this to me. You cheated on me, Alex. You lied to me."

Alex held up his hands, a defensive look on his face. "It's not like that, Amy. She's my soulmate. I didn't mean to hurt you."

Amy's laughter was bitter. "Your soulmate? You've known her for at least  five minutes, and she's your soulmate? You're unbelievable. You have no regard for me!"

Amy thought, this soulmate app is causing to much trouble for her life also Amy thought, guess I have to play this soulmate app game like every else (the infected ones) to find her soulmate because Alex isn't mine .

Alex sighed, his expression unrepentant. "I thought you would understand, Amy. I thought you would be open to the idea. But I guess I was wrong. "When you become my wife, you'll understand. You won't mind."

Amy's eyes narrowed, her anger boiling over. "You never spoke to me about this, Alex. You never gave me a choice. You cheated on me, and now you're trying to justify it? You're disgusting."

Amy screamed " You could have told me you wanted to find your soulmate and we could have ended our relationship."

Alex said " The open relationship was going to be just for me anyways

Amy irritated "I can't believe it ,you thought I'll be ok with this and I am not a pushover .We are over!"

Alex shrugged, his nonchalance infuriating. "I guess we're over then."

With that, he stood up, took the blonde girl's hand, and walked out of the bar, leaving Amy standing alone, her heart shattered into a million pieces.

The Velvet Lounge, once a symbol of romance and intimacy, now felt like a cold, harsh reality. Amy stood there, her eyes fixed on the door, her mind reeling with the implications of what had just happened. She felt like she had been living in a dream, a dream that had been brutally shattered.
