we walked into juju's parents home and saw kayden on the living room floor playing. he looked over and happily crawled to us.

"aww we missed you baby" i said picking him up. i gave him a bunch of kisses and then handed him to juju. "hi mommy's boy.. you been good ?" she said tickling him.

"hey ma, hey dad" i said as they came in. "hey girls, here baby" sari said handing him some cut up strawberries. juju set him down so he could watch tv and eat his snack.

"so how's bryce" dad asked. "good he's getting out today and we just finished setting up his welcome home party at bron's house" i said.

"that's good well kayden is such a sweet baby and he loves me" mom said happily making me and juju smile. because she is so good with kids and she got kind of lonely after juju went to chicago.

juju kissed her cheek and we sat down as kayden watched paw patrol. he crawled over to me with a kool-aid jammer. "you want me to open it" i said opening it for him. i handed to him and he smiled at me. i just love being this little boys mama.

"do they have everything set up ?" i asked juju as she checked her phone. "yess ty just picked up the cake.

"WELCOME HOME" we said. i handed kayden the little confetti thingy and he blew it in bryce's face and confetti came out. he giggled and clapped his hand . he loved it.

"preciate you guys" bryce said as he took kayden out of my arms.

"omg that was the cutest" jada said as kayden clapped his little hands together.

"welcome home bro" bronny said hugging his brother.

"thank you bro" he said.

"AWWWW" we said together making them mug us and laugh.

"corny" bronny and bryce said together.

we sat around and ate, talked, and chilled. i sat kayden on my lap and bounced him on my legs. he laughed and his little gums with his 1 tooth was on full display.

"mommy" he said making me gasp. "OMG HE SAID HIS FIRST WORD" i yelled. "omg and he said mommy" i said smirking at kk. she rolled her eyes and laughed.

"please say mama next" kk mumbled. i giggled and held her hand "aww relax baby he's gonna say it soon lol" i said kissing her cheek.

"that's right baby i'm mommy" i said making him clap his hands.

"okay guys as yk me and bronny are getting married next month. we know it might be soon but we picked the place, we got invitations ordered, we found decors and all that"

"and i already found my dress and he found his tux.. yall i be bored so i got to work lol" jada said.

"that's fine the only reason kk and i's wedding took so long was because we were procrastinating but you got it done period"

"also i booked everyone's hair, nails, and makeup appointments. now you guys gotta go dress shopping" jada said.

"jada WE LOVE YOU. like you got all that together especially since what happened with bryce we hadn't even been thinking about the wedding lol" rayah said making us agree.

"well i think my excitement got the best of me that i done planned everything and set everything up with no problem" jada said laughing.

"it's crazy we get to attend another wedding in less than a month" aaliyah said and we nodded.

"yeah i'm ready cus i'm tryna get cute again" ty said. "been that" bryce mumbled making me giggle cus he's such a flirt lol.

"what you say ?" ty asked not looking up from her phone. "nothing" he said making her nod.

"so bryce how do you feel ?" i asked. "my head hurt but other than that i'm good. the medicine hasn't given me side effects yet" he said.

"mommy" kayden said making me smile. i looked down at him and he pointed to his fruit snacks. i opened them and fed him one.

"aww he knows how to say your name so good now" amoura said and i nodded.

"so proud of you handsome boy" kk cooed and he giggled. he leaned up and kissed kk's cheek making my heart melt.

he smiled at me and then kissed my cheek. "aw i love you handsome boy" i said. he crawled over to rayah and held his arms out for her.

"hey tete little man.. your so handsome" she cooed. i got up and brought the cake and set it on the living room table. "ouu i really want something sweet too" bryce said.

he picked up his phone and huffed. everyone looked at him and waited for him to tell us what was wrong. "what happened ?" bronny asked.

"man my doctor texted me and he said i won't be able to practice no time soon" he said rubbing his forehead. he got up and ty pulled him back down.

"bryce you just got out of the hospital" kk said. "okay but i'm good now" he said irritated.

"no baby you just had heart surgery. do you know how serious that is ? it takes time especially when it comes to your heart." ty said making us nod.

"exactly and besides bronny was told the same thing. he went almost 2 months without basketball after he went into cardiac arrest." jada said.

"TWO MONTHS ?? i can't go two months that's absolutely to long man" bryce said. "you'll make it bro.. besides bronny also was in a car wreck and had a stroke so he knows how you feel" aaliyah said making him nod.

we talked and laughed. we watched as kayden grabbed a hand full of cake and smashed it all over his face. we laughed and he giggled.

"omg baby" i said. bronny grabbed his phone and after we took pictures i cleaned his hands and face and fed him some cake. he giggle and clapped his hands. i love being a mom.
