"Then who's the fourth?" Someone from the Apollo cabin said. Jason turned towards Adrianna. "Adrianna is. She's the daughter of Nox— sorry, Nyx, I don't see how the prophecy could be about anyone else." People around the camp fire nodded, and mhm-ed.

"So that settles it, Jason, these three are who you choose for your quest?"

Jason nodded. "Yep!"

Now Adrianna knew how she was going to earn the camps trust. She just needed to bind some chains, easy enough. She had a long night of thinking ahead of her, and it started when she was walking back to the Hermes Cabin.

Adrianna laid on her bed, a thin sleeping bag keeping her warm. Connor had 'borrowed' some stuff for her. At the end of the bed sat a backpack, inside the backpack was a blanket, first aid kit, something called ambrosia and nectar, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush, and more. So an overall amazing care pack. Another girl named Alice brought Adrianna some changes of clothes. Which Adrianna greatly appreciated.

Adrianna closed her eyes. She couldn't sleep. This is when she'd normally listen to music, but her iPod was probably destroyed at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

A tapping on the glass snapped her out of her thoughts. She sat up and grabbed the nearest weapon she saw, a hairbrush. She aimed it at the window and jumped when she saw Leo Valdez grinning at her.

"Jesus. Valdez! What are you doing?!" She whisper shouted as she opened the window.

"I need your help." Adrianna rolled her eyes and chuckled. "Oh you're serious? What do you need help with? It's like eleven o'clock."

"The dragon."

"The what?" She put down the hairbrush.

"C'mon I'll show you."

Then she realized she didn't have her shoes. "Hold on." Since her eyes were well adjusted to the darkness she found her doc martens. She also noticed how doc martens did not go with pink cat pyjama pants.

"Don't look." He immediately covered his eyes with his hands and turned the other way. She grabbed the pair of black jeans Alice got her, and quickly changed. It was cold so she grabbed her leather jacket as well.

"Okay I'm ready—" Before she could protest Leo was attempting to drag her out of the window. Unfortunately, she just fell onto him. "Valdez!"

"Looks like another lady fell for Leo!" Adrianna stood up,  "Shut up."

He scrambled to his feet. "You know you love me, Adrianna Faye" He slinked an arm around her which she immediately pushed off. "I hate you Leo Valdez."

They plunged into the forest together. Adrianna could see fine, likely due to her being a daughter of Nyx. Leo, on the other hand, wasn't doing too well; he stumbled over pretty much everything.

Once they were deep enough in the woods, far away from the cabins, Leo summoned fire. Flames danced along his fingertips, casting enough light to see. Adrianna moved closer, embracing the warmth the flames gave.

They kept walking, Leo explained what they were searching for, so they were looking for dragon-type clues—giant footprints, trampled trees, swaths of burning forest. Something that big couldn't exactly sneak around, right? But they saw nothing. Once they glimpsed a large, furry shape like a wolf or a bear, but it stayed away from the fire, which was fine by Adrianna.

Then, at the bottom of a clearing, Leo saw the first trap—a hundred-foot-wide crater ringed with boulders. Adrianna watched Leo observe the trap, in the light of the fire he looked... cute? No Leo Valdez wasn't cute he was everything except cute.
