24: Follow My Heart

When Ria and Julian got up and dressed themselves, Julian helped her up the stairs where Ria's parents were waiting for the two of them. Her parents looked at  them very amused.

"Ria, sweetie did you take that vampire home?" Her mother asked

"I did-I cannot love him. Every word and action he took showed that he was only doing what he was told. It was not out of the kindness and love of his own heart. He will not and cannot protect me." Ria said seriously as she firmly nodded her head, she then hugged Julian's arm. "Unlike Julian who has protected me more times than not throughout the years. I love and care for him."

Julian looked down at her stunned to hear what she said to her parents. It made him freeze in his place hearing that she had just outwardly stated that she loved him. Enzo let out a small chuckle before he looked at Amaya. "Looks like you and I do have a daughter that will follow in your foot steps sweetie."

Amaya nodded her head before she looked at Julian. "I will accept you as the lover of my daughter, just you must promise me that you won't follow suit of what Enzo has done. You have no reason to murder and kill her father, or any of her siblings. I'm pretty sure she did what she had with the reaper kingdom to be with you."

Julian nodded his head. "She had, she told me so earlier. Are you absolutely certain you wish for me to be at her side? What if I fail as her lover?"

"I had those worries myself being around Amaya even though both of us were royals of different kingdoms back then. You two are just the same as her and I, the only difference is with your kingdom we have a peace pact. In time you would have been placed with someone of this kingdom. The fact that you've chosen our youngest daughter Ria, it makes it that less worrying about what to do with you." Enzo said with a smile

"May I inquire why you had me tutor her if you knew who I was?"

"She has no memory of being a princess, as a royal yourself you could give her those lessons. Honestly Enzo and I half hoped that you two would end up together in the end, we wanted her to reject that vampire and be with you. The fact that she did just as we hoped she'd do, just shows just how much she truly is our daughter." Amaya said with a smile

Ria's eyes lit up hearing what her parents said. "So...you two truly wanted us together?!"

"Indeed sweet heart, we're both happy to see that you've fallen for him on your own and did what it took to be with him yourself. Now that you no longer have that disgusting reapers blood within you, you are now completely our daughter once more. We will have your things placed in the room that is to be yours from the start." Enzo said with a nod of his head

Ria went from hugging Julian's arm to hugging her parents. "Thank you so much!"

"In time you may end up having to take the throne just like your siblings. But for now you may live your life as you wish. I do not see any of your siblings doing much of anything to strengthen this family or broadening this family out." Amaya stated with a smile as she cupped her daughters face in her hands

"I'd like to see Julian's kingdom, I want to see where he came from since he's always been here."

Julian looked at Ria stunned. "A-Are you certain about that? I am the eldest of my siblings. If we go back there we will end up being forced to marry then be stuck there."

Ria shut her eyes as she took her mothers hands from her face. She then opened her eyes and looked to Julian. "Then so be it, I love you and just you Julian. If it means that I must marry you then that's what I will do. In time we will be able to meet up with my parents who are still in charge of this kingdom. You've been out of your kingdom long enough Julian...I'd like for you to see your home once more."

Enzo smiled at his daughter hearing what she said. "You really are the sweetest daughter we've ever had. In time yes that will happen, but until you give that kingdom an offspring you won't be able to go anywhere."

She smiled and giggled a bit hearing what her father said as she looked at him. "With how Julian is father...that's not going to be an issue."
