26: Fucked up Parents

When Salem got to the castle gates he used his front paws to break them down before he jumped up the steps ten at a time before bursting into the castle. "Where from here?"

" Second door to the right." Julian said seriously

"Got it."

As Salem got further into the hall, more knights tried to stop them. Salem had to jump over them just to get to the door before he landed into the throne room where his parents were talking. Salem walked proudly with Ria and Julian on his back before he bowed as Julian and Ria got off of his back. While he had the knights that were outside of the castle and inside came into the room. "Stay away from our queen and king you strangers!" One of the knights shouted

Julian glared at his parents. "Mother, Father-May I ask Why the FUCK haven't you been telling people who they are looking out for by appearance? None of them know what I look like or my name." Julian said irate

The king and queen looked at one another unease before the queen got up. "Julian, my son...we didn't know if you would come home. That is why we didn't tell them about your appearance."

"Tell your idiot knights to fuck off and stop pointing their spears and javelins at my love and I or I will have my loves displacer cat kill all of them." Julian growled angered

The queen nodded her head before she looked at the knights. "This man is no stranger, he is the crown prince. Let it be known that my son has come home and with a suitor. Anyone who dare threatens them will be killed on the spot by them."

All of the knights stiffened and dropped their weapons apologizing to Julian and Ria. Ria looked unamused. "Salem, go chase them out of here. Have fun kitty." She said patting the side of Salem's face. "But no killing-not yet anyways."

As she spoke about the no killing she looked the knights straight in the eyes, all of them held fear in them before they all shrieked and ran out as Salem bolted straight for them. Once it was just the king, queen, Julian and Ria. The queen smiled at her son. "Welcome home."

"Fuck you old hag. You have little to no faith in what I can do. Did you really think that I wouldn't come back from a tutoring job in Santa-Maria?" Julian said unamused

"Well they have that reaper princess, she could easily kill you."

Ria scoffed and wrapped her arms around Julian's. "I was that princess and that kingdom is no more thanks to what I've done. That blood inside me is gone, I am forever now just a normal princess who loves and adores your eldest son. He was my tutor and he's taught me rather well. I've bonded with your son for the last ten years and I got to know him rather well. He spoke highly of the two of you and this kingdom." Ria said coldly before she let go of Julian's arm and walked up the steps to the king and queen. 

"He told me this kingdom welcomes those from outside lands, that there would be no hostile people here. Yet from the get-go we were questioned and given hostile vibes from knights here. The little faith you have in your son will be your damn downfall and I hope to hell that you understand the moment that you do your son is going to make this kingdom ten times better than you and your husband ever had. He has a big heart and the common sense you lack. What mother doesn't believe their son will ever come back home? Yes Julio will never come home, he in love with a woman from a different kingdom. But you still have your eldest, he came here to take his position as crown prince. As the youngest of my kin in the royal family of Santa-Maria, I have agreed to be here to continue the peace treaty between our kingdoms that was signed many centuries ago between my great great grand parents and those who were much wiser than you and your husband." Ria said seriously

Julian just grinned hearing what Ria said, he knew better than to get in Ria's way when she was adamant about something like she was about him. The queen balled her hands up and glared at her. "HOW DARE YOU! YOU'RE JUST A MEASLY BRATTY PRINCESS! HOW COULD YOU EVER KNOW ANYTHING MORE THAN A QUEEN! Stand down or face punishment!"

Ria wasn't afraid of the female in front of her. "Afraid of what has come to light? Afraid you will lose your power ma'am? I am not afraid of you. I am a woman of knowledge that has been kept in the kingdom of Santa-Maria. Even ask your eldest son about my massive knowledge interest. He himself has seen what I've been interested in and what I haven't been interested in. I know everything there is to know about this kingdom and my own from books and from your own son. He spoke so highly about this place which you have soiled it's name. I can only imagine why you'd do such a thing. If you place a single hand upon me you will have in acted a sign of war. If you touch me with your hands in a way that is not pleasant your son will hate you for the rest of your life. For the relationship he and I would have would cease to exist. I would have to go back to my parents Amaya and Enzo Rice-Let them know what you've done and that the treaty of peace has been destroyed. It will pain me to be at war with the man I love, but business is business. So what will it be ma'am? Peace...or will you have your son hate you for going to war?"

The Queen went to hit her only for the king to pull his wife back and speak up. "My son has taught you well. I apologize for my wife. She does not like woman who are smarter than herself..which isn't rare to find nowadays. Before you are to marry my eldest son there is a ritual test you must take to see if you have what it takes to be around him."

"Julian has told me about it, he told me that your wife barely passed it. So I will gladly take that test and show just how much your son has taught me sir." Ria said as she bowed her head respectfully towards the male, who had earned her respect with his kind words

"Very well then, Julian will take you to a room where you will find seamstresses that will get you into more appropriate garments to show that you wish to be a part of this kingdom."

She nodded her head and turned on her heel as she jumped down the stairs into Julian's arms, he knew she'd jump down the stairs and had his arms out to catch her. "You are going to kill yourself again one of these days Ria." Julian said shaking his head with a sigh

"Maybe, but not before things happen between us. "She said with a grin
