Emily POV
"Who peed in you breakfast!?" I muttered, shoving past Arianna. She snarled, like a mutt on a leash and walked away. her little puppy minions followed after her. I grunted and set my tray down on a table. I nawed lazily, on my meatloaf.
"Hey Emily! Can I sit here?" Called a cheerful voice behind me. I turned around, and was smashed into a hug from Hannah. "Hannah! Wow hi!" I laughed shakily. "I wasn't expecting that!" She let go of me and sat down. "Yeah im the seen one here!" She smiled. "What's that supposed to mean?" "It means I was given the great honor of being the colorful, and crazy one!" She then quieted down, and scooted closer. "It also means I tried out for the cheer team, but was rejected, because of my pink hair and wild attitude." She whispered. I giggled.
"Oh you must be new here." I looked away from Hannah. On the other side of the table was another girl. She had long black hair that went down to her waist. Her skin was a caramel color, and her eyes were brown, almost black. "How did you-" She cut me off. "I know your new, because nobody new knows Hannah. most peopelwe know her. After all it's kinda hard to be invisible, when you have warn a rainbow unicorn outfit to school, before." I tried to hold in a laugh, but failed. "I'm Payzley. P.A.Y.Z.L.E.Y." She spelled out. She then laughed, and continued."It's spelled the exact way it sounds. I still want to change my name, but so far i'm stuck with it!" I laughed with her.
"So how have you been enjoying our school so far? I'm part of the welcoming commitee. Not by choice, I got in trouble and the principal said I could join this, or get suspeneded. I joined this, so I could just tell my parents I joined on my own descision." She rambled. "Well It's okay I guess. What did you do to get in trouble?" I asked, now intrested. "I told a Arianna if she ever spread a rumor about me again I would unleash Dog on her." I laughed. "Why did you use dog in that format?" I asked. "Because Dog is the name of my kitten." The three of us started cracking up. "She would feel pretty stupid if she knew that!" Hannah laughed out. I laughed to show my approval.
Payzley took out her iPhone five and began scrolling. She turned the screen my way, and sat it on the table. I looked down and saw a black, fluffy kitten. "Awe!" I cooed.
I'm sure if you shaved the cat, it's body should be five times smaller. Underneath many hairballs, to choke on I could make out a black collor. Dull, silver spikes lined the collor.
I laughed, and handed the phone back.
"So you coming to the winter dance?" Payzley asked. "We have a dance coming up?" I asked, curious. "You haven't heard!? Darling it's in two days! Do you even have a dress!?" She half yelled. "No. I wasn't aware. I've had so much go-" "You are going to the mall with me, after school. You are going, and you are going with a dress!" She commanded. I nodded my head, not wanting to see the outcome, if I said no. "Good."
I messaged Mr.Tanner.
Emily: Is it ok if I head into town with a friend. After school?
Mr.Tanner: Sure, be home for dinner.
I turned my phone off, and began to finish my fish and chips. I picked up a lemon slice, and squited the juice onto the fish.
"Eww! How can you eat that!?" Hannah screamed. She scooted away, seeing my meal. I cupped my hands over my ears. "What's wrong with it?!" I asked, startled. "Hannah here is vegetarian. Lol!"
Did she really just say lol? Isn't that used for texting? Odd...
"Oh sorry." I mumbled embarrased. "It's okay. I just think it's wrong to slaughter innocent animals, then feed them to such greedy mammals. Like us." I nodded my head, trying to keep up. "I mean honestly have you seen some of the things they do? Those poor innocent animals don't deserve any of it!" She slammed her hand against the table, in protest. "It ain't right." She nodded her head, as if reassuring us.
The bell ending lunch rang.
I groaned and picked my bag up off the floor. "Don't I have art with you?" Hannah asked. "I think, is that where you are headed now?" "Sure is." She said, grinning. "Cool."
We both walked down the hall, and into the west wing. We passed a few other loud classes, before reaching art.
Finally a class I enjoy!
Most all my electives were after lunch. I also had a few other after lunch classes, such as science, and spanish but not much more.
The art room was loaded with color. The walls were painted yellow, and had random paint brush strokes, of color. I smiled. Three rows of tables were set up in the room. Two chairs were behind each desk. A canvas was sitting in front of each chair.
A few manicans were at the back of the room. A larger table was also at the back of the room. It had many household items on it. Some were not so household items as well. There were metel pipes, crafting paper, and a few rusted tools.
Okay then...
I took my seat at the middle table, as the back table was already filled. Hannah sat next to me.
"Hello class. I'm Ms.Dopple, but you call me Blake."
The women looked like she was in her late twenties. Her dirty blonde hair was pulled back into a sloppy bun, and her side bangs hung around her face. She had hazel eyes, and tanned skin. She was wearing a large red shirt. It had paint all over it, and went down to her lower waist. Her black pants hugged her legs tightly.
"Listen, I don't care what you do in this class, as long as it has to do with art. You can eat the canvas as long as it has to do with your art. "So shall we get started?"
