Twenty Nine | So Long Sarina

It was the next day, Pedri and I have just finished eating lunch then suddenly Pedri's phone rang

"One sec" he said as he excused himself

I waited patiently for him to come back

Eventually he did

"Okay, thank you so much Mr Alvarez"

He came back

"What was that about"

"Mr Alvarez just called and told me about the investigation on Sarina.."

"Go on"

"He said that there have been multiple complaints from the significant others of the people she's slept with, and that she also harassed them randomly, and apparently she's getting taken to court as we speak"

As he said that my jaw dropped

She's really in court?

Is she going to jail?

What happens next? I asked my self

"Oh yeah and we have to talk to her apparently" Pedri spoke

"Wait why?"

"Like we have to explain the reasoning behind the case or something"

"Oh okay.. but when?"

"Some time today, it doesn't matter when but it's advised that we go before 5"

"Then do you want to go now?" I asked

"Sure, if your okay with it, then let's go"

I nodded as I went to go get my purse from his room, was I scared to face Sarina? Yes but it's going to be okay.. right?

We got into the car and drove down to the court house it wasn't a far drive, the courthouse was downtown near a bunch of beautiful buildings

We got there shortly and I hopped out the car

"Are you ready?" Pedri asked

"Mhm" I hummed nervously

We walked in and met Mr Alvarez

"Pedri! Valeria! You made it! Follow me, I'll show you to Ms Diaz"

We followed Mr Alvarez down the hall and he lead us to a room which was well locked, he unlocked the door and let us in

I was greeted by a disgusting look shot at me by Sarina, she was separated from us by a clear window incase she tried to jump me again, Pedri and I sat down infront of her

"Pepiii are you here to bail me out?" She said giving Pedri puppy eyes

He rolled his eyes
"No sarina, we're here to clear things up on why you're here"

"You mean you're the one who put me in here?"
She asked as she looked like she was going to cry

"No surprises, obviously I put you in here" Pedri answered

I decided to stay quiet, mainly because I had no clue what to say

"Why would you do such thing" she asked

"Here we go again" he said as he rolled his eyes

"You act like a dumb bitch, you always make yourself the victim when you're the one whose making everything worse, I mean you came out of nowhere and started harassing Val, and Val isn't the only one you've done this too? How sick are you?" Pedri said as he raised his voice

"Im not a bad person Pedri" she said

I noticed she didn't use his nickname
That made me a tad bit scared but if she were to do anything to us right now it would be added to her profile

"Stop playing the victim Sarina, it's not going to get you anywhere, maybe you getting a sentence will do justice for you, hopefully you learn to forgive and forget, you can't just ruin peoples lives because you ruined your own"

Damn Pedri was really going at it

"Fine, I really do apologize for what I did to Val, but you don't understand how much I loved you Pedri, I really think it's me and you in the end" she replied

"Oh my god, Sarina you have to put a stop to this, how can you say you loved me when you would go out sleeping with other men when you were in a relationship with me? Myself now compared to myself when I was dating you was really different, Sarina, it's been two years, two years and you still play the victim? And when I finally find someone who loves me as much as I love them you come to ruin it every chance you get?"

I think that was Pedri's last straw, after he said that he got up and walked out, I was left with Sarina, she was bawling at this point, part of me feels bad, but she needs to learn, if Pedri and I weren't the only couple she tried to tear apart then imagine what the other couples are going through

"Val" she spoke

Oh shit

"Hmm?" I replied

"I'm really sorry that I got in your guys way, I didn't realize what I said would lead up to the point where you'd attempt to kill yourself"

"Thanks Sarina, I think I'll accept your apology for now but for Pedri, I don't think there's an apology that'll ever make him like you again, no offence, but it really hit hard for him, he might've had it worse that I had it, anyways I'm sorry that you have to go through all of this, but in the end it could teach you a lot, bye Sarina"

I said as I walked out of the room trying to find Pedri

I ran into Mr Alvarez and asked him if he's seen Pedri, he said he hasn't seen him so I walked out to Pedri's car where I found him

"Hey" I said

"Sorry I stormed out, did she do anything to you?"

"No Pedri don't worry, she just said she apologizes for what she did and that she didn't mean it to go that far"

"What a lie" he said

"Sorry?"

"I know her Val, she won't apologize that soon, that apology probably wasn't sincere, she only trying to get on your good side"

I stayed silent as he started the car

"Well we can proudly say so long Sarina I guess" he said

I nodded and smiled

We headed back home and I decided to take a dip in the pool to sink in my thoughts

Perfect time, sunset

I sat in the pool watching the sky

Sunsets seem to be the only thing that can calm me down these days

Will Pedri and I finally catch a break?
