Thirty Seven | Preseason

**Time skip to the game against Man City**

The whole team was up bright and early, they needed the last minute hours to train for the game

Pedri Gavi and I headed down to the rest of team for breakfast and a brief meeting

The meeting was the same as the last time but they'd be finalizing the starting 11,

There wasn't much difference in the lineups compared to the ones last season but this time, João would be starting, so flick could see his abilities and to see if he needed to improve anything

After the meeting was done the boys had to go to a training centre to prepare for the match, that left Bianca and I alone for the rest of the day until the match

We decided to go shopping since stores in the US hit different 😮‍💨

We first went to Sephora to stock up on some products that were all sold out back in Barcelona

After our makeup splurge we went to target to see what all the hype was about, we didn't really buy anything there but it was a fun experience

It was getting pretty close to the match and we still needed outfits, we decided to go to aritzia to buy some pants to go with our jerseys, it took us a long time to figure out what to match but eventually we chose some and payed for them

We headed back to the hotel after going to a couple more stores

We decided to go to my room since it had a bigger bathroom

When we got there the guys had already came back

"Look whos back!" João exclaimed

"Gah damn did you guys buy the whole damn store?" Gavi asked jokingly as we all laughed

We explained what we did while they were gone and then we showed them our outfits

They were surprisingly happy with the outfits, when we showed Pedri and João the outfits with their names on the back or our jerseys I noticed Gavi looking sad

He was looking at the ground while the rest of the guys were happy seeing their names on our shirts

I can feel what Gavi is going through, I mean being surrounded by couples pretty much every day can make you feel really lonely

To make Gavi feel happier I had an idea

I went down to one of the other staff members room and asked if they had an extra Gavi jersey,

Luckily he said yes and handed me a new Gavi jersey

Now you may ask "why are gonna wear Gavi's jersey when you could be wearing your boyfriends jersey?"

As long as Pedri and I are together, I can wear his jersey to their games whenever I want, but Gavi who is still single, doesn't have anyone in the group who will rep him yet

And since he's basically our shared son why not give him the joy for the day 😌

I ran back to the room but before entering I went to the bathroom and changed shirts

After I changed I went back to the others, from the front it doesn't seem like I changed

"Check this!" I said as I turned around

"WHAT!" Gavi exclaimed
"Really Val? You're gonna wear my jersey" he asked

"Of course! I mean I can wear Pedri's whenever I want, you need a turn, plus a mother always supports her child" I said as I gave him a hug
