"Her heart rates slowing!"I heard as I felt arms all over me.As I opened and closed my eyes to see bright lights, and doctors all around me I felt nothing but pain as they put a manual resuscitator on my mouth.
"She's going in and out!" I heard as I felt like I couldn't breathe.My eyes continuously opening and closing.
"Ma'am you can't go further i'm sorry" Closed.
"No thats my baby please!" Open.
"She's going to need a blood transfusion!Ma'am what's her type?!" Closed.
"Were losing her!"Open.
"What?! Karter baby no! Fight baby please!" Was the last thing I heard before I saw complete darkness.

"Micheal what happened?!Where's your mom?!Where's Karter?!" I said running into the hospital to see Micheal crying and shaking as He pointed past me and i ran to the counter.
"Excuse me?! Can somebody please tell me where my wife and daughter is?!Now!"I said hitting the bell.
"Zac."I heard as I looked to the left and saw a bloody Fatima. I immediately ran her as she broke down in my arms.And I instantly cried too.
"W-where's Karter?"I asked as she cried harder.
"Baby what happened talk to me please...Where's our baby?"I asked again scared of the true answer.
"I-i left and w-w-when I came home I-i found her-I tried Zac -It was so much blood she-would'nt wake up- Her body was cold--It was so cold--I tried to save her-- oh my god--- my baby!"She said going into shock falling to the floor hysterical holding her chest as I tried to process what happened feeling like I couldn't stand any longer I fell into the seat behind me. I felt my heart break as I put my head in my hands.
"I can't-I can't"I said repeatedly as I broke down worse than ever. "God please- Oh my- "I said calling out as I shook my head in disbelief crying.
"Im so sorry!I'm so so sorry!"Fatima cried out.As I picked her up holding her as we cried.

I watched as my brothers played football with the kids around the neighborhood as I sat.
"Hey?!"I look up to see a boy with braids looking back in my direction then he started running towards me. Picking up the football by my feet which I didn't notice till now.
"Sorry"I said as he shook his head.
"Its cool. Whats your name?"He asked
"Karter and I think my brothers want you to go back. "I said pointing towards the field. He looked back before throwing the ball back to them and sitting beside me.
"I'm Leon."He said as I smiled.
"You don't want to play anymore?"I asked chuckling.
"Nah I rather talk to my new bestie."He said playfully hitting me as I laughed.

"Yeah right"I said taking the football from Leon as we sat down on his porch.
"Im for real lil bit i'm going to be like the Micheal Jordan of football. You gone be on the sideline cheering for me with the rest of the cheerleaders or whatever you decide to do when you get older I just know you better be at every game."He said as I nodded.
"Of course.Wouldn't miss the chance to see you fumble."I said as his mouth dropped open.
"wow lil bit really?"He said holding his hand up to his heart.
"Hey Karter baby, Y'all want some cookies and fresh lemonade?"Mrs.Laverne said coming out the house with a tray.
"Hey, mrs.Laverne.thank you.'I said taking one of each.
"Thanks grandma."Leon said taking a lemonade only.
"You two stay out of trouble you hear?"She said as we nodded.
"Yes ma'am."we said in synch.

"I got you forever lil bit.You know you like my lil sis you can come to me for anything."He said as he had his arm around me as we watched the stars.
"Thank you."I said
"For?"He asked
"Everything. You helped me a lot more than you'll ever know."I said as he kissed my forehead.
"Anytime lil bit."

"Family of Karter Taylor?"Heard as I shook Fatima and Micheal awake.
"Please tell me my daughters okay?"I said defeated feeling all the guilt rush back to my stomach.
"We finally we able to stabilize her but she can't breathe on her own."He said as I felt relief and confusion as I held Fatima.
"What does that mean?"She asked
"Karter is on life support.And we think taking her off it would kill her instantly but it is ultimately up to the both of you to decide if you want to let Karter rest now or later I know it may be hard to hear but I think she's holding on long enough for you all to say goodbye. Please call whomever and you all can see her and talk to her now because we also don't think Karter may make it through tonight let alone a couple of days. I'm sorry but we've did all we can do..."She said walking away as we all broke down again.
