Suzie's POV
I woke up as my alarm clock blared. I groaned and hit snooze. Stretching, I got out of bed. Elena was still asleep. Weird. I didn't wake her. Instead, I walked into my bathroom and hopped in the shower. After washing, I dried myself off and pulled on a grey tee, dark skinny jeans, and my favorite boots. I brushed my hair and teeth and then woke Elena up. She said she didn't feel good. I told Jenna and she said Elena could stay home. After saying goodbye to them, I walked to school. I could sense someone behind me and turned. It was Jared and his brothers.
"Hey, Suze," Jared greeted me.
"Hi," I said.
The one with the brown hair and green eyes introduced himself. "Stefan Salvatore. Jared's older brother."
The one with the black hair and green eyes was next. "Damon Salvatore."
I said I and introduced myself. "Suzie Gilbert."
We all walked to school together. I said goodbye as we went down different halls. Damon has a weird gleam in his eyes. It looks almost... evil.
Elena's POV
Dear diary,
I know its been a while since I've written. Things have been insane. Mom and Dad are... gone. Jeremy is back from college. He has a girlfriend! She's strange, though. Today, I faked being sick. I don't want to live my life. Everyone sees me as the girl who lost her parents. The sad, depressed girl. I don't want to be that girl. I want to be the fun, outgoing, popular Elena Gilbert. I want to go back to how things used to be. Not how they have to be. I want Mom and Dad back. I want my life back!
I began to cry and dropped my diary on the floor. I curled up into a ball on my bed and cried myself to sleep.
