After Min-hwan's brutal assault on Seulgi and his subsequent pummeling by Minho, the two men found themselves in a holding cell. Minho was swiftly released, leaving Min-hwan to beg Solhee for bail. "You cry for fairness when you're at a disadvantage but revel in your strength when you have the upper hand," Minho pointed out. Min-hwan, oblivious to the truth, protested in vain.

A deeply traumatized Seulgi struggled to stave off her panic attacks, but with unwavering support from Joo-ran and Minho, she managed to pull through. Determined to bring Min-hwan to justice, Minho applied pressure. The next day, Min-hwan was fired and faced the immediate need to repay his company loans. Minho then sent Min-hwan a copy of his company insurance policy, revealing a clause that allowed him to claim 500 million won in the event of his spouse's accidental death.

Desperate, Min-hwan sought out Solhee at her hotel suite, asking for the means to eliminate Somi. Solhee saw this as an opportunity, as Somi held an incriminating voice recording over her. With Min-hwan taking Somi out, he would go down for murder, and Solhee could wash her hands of them both.

Meanwhile, Minho set his own plan into motion. He met with Somi, pretending to sympathize with her plight and suggesting they charge Min-hwan and Seulgi for adultery. This would compensate Somi and ostensibly allow Minho to get Seulgi back. Somi, however, saw through his ruse but couldn't resist the opportunity to take down Seulgi.

Confronting Seulgi at the company, Somi sneered at her for seducing her husband. Seulgi retorted, "Why would I sleep with someone else's man? It's not like I'm you." To further provoke Somi, Seulgi sent texts meant to appear as if they were for Min-hwan, laughing about how no one took Somi seriously anymore. Enraged, Somi agreed to Minho's plan.

Lured to the hotel by Seulgi, Somi expected to catch Min-hwan and Seulgi in the act. Instead, she found Min-hwan and Solhee together, plotting to claim her life insurance. Furious, Somi snapped photos but was knocked out by Solhee's secretary.

Somi awoke bound in an unfamiliar house, the final step of Min-hwan's insurance fraud. He viewed her as a mere pawn. As he stepped outside to cut the gas pipes, Somi managed to free herself. When Min-hwan returned, she incapacitated him with a swift kick and shattered a whiskey glass over his head. Min-hwan stumbled back, crashing onto a glass table and bleeding out, just as Seulgi had. Karma had delivered poetic justice.

The next morning, the black box footage of Joo-ran's cheating husband miraculously restored itself, as Fate had claimed its victim and no longer needed to trap Joo-ran in a tragic marriage. Solhee's villain arc ended abruptly when her rage-filled drive culminated in a fatal car accident. Minho's collarbone mark disappeared, symbolizing the completion of his fated path and his liberation from his mournful end.

Somi, however, fled the scene, evading the police. Intent on dragging Seulgi down, she tricked her into opening her apartment door to bind her and commit arson. Repeating the lines from Seulgi's original death day, Somi gloated that she'd won. But Seulgi countered, "No, I've won." She snapped the cable tie, disarmed Somi with a judo flip, and revealed that she had walked straight into a trap. With CCTV capturing Somi's confession, Seulgi had finally defeated her nemesis.

Seok-joon defended Joo-ran physically and legally, winning her divorce case. Joo-ran promised to treat him to a meal as thanks and celebrated with Seulgi and Hee-yeon at Wonho's new restaurant. Joo-ran also pulled through her surgery without complications, and the squad celebrated at Seulgi's apartment, where Seok-joon, despite his stoic demeanor, finally let his guard down and enjoyed the company.

As for Seulgi and Minho, free from all complications, they enjoyed their days of domestic bliss. Seulgi took Minho back to the pond where they first met and proposed amidst the meaningful scenery. Surprising her, Minho returned with a bouquet and a diamond ring, proposing in turn. They shared a tearful kiss.

In this timeline, Seulgi finally had the stunning wedding she deserved. By 2016, she had progressed to the director of a charitable foundation. By 2017, they were parents of twin sons, and in 2023, they welcomed another adorable newborn. They commemorated Seulgi's original death day by visiting an art gallery of cherry blossom paintings, cherishing their new beginning and looking forward to a brighter future.

The villains' conscious decisions had cemented their own destruction. Their comeuppance was satisfying, as they had dug their own graves. Phenomenal performances elevated their characters, with Somi's final scenes being particularly gratifying.

The storytelling remained consistent, with thoughtful callbacks and careful attention to detail. Though post-timeskip scenes of side couples were limited, the sweet snippets provided were heartwarming. Wonho at the Yoo family table, Hee-yeon's bouquet toss, and Joo-ran's new beginning with Seok-joon were all highlights.

Seulgi and Minho set the stage, but the villains' actions sealed their fates. Now, our leads looked forward to their future, grateful for the love and support that had brought them to this point.
