"I quite like Lord Westbridge though his hand certainly do wonder when he dances."  One of the ladies complained. Elenora listened intently, learning to avoid at the next ball.

"At least he is young. My mama has fixed on Sir Derryworth for me." The other continued. Elenora's eyes widened. "His breath is excruciating."

"Why do you not just say no?" Eloise interrupted, clearly annoyed by the ladies fickle complaints.

"I do not think it is that simple, El." Penelope spoke up.

"You are right, Penelope." Elenora nodded.

"Yet they wonder why they are so miserable." Eloise chuckled.

"I know how to find my happiness, Miss Bridgerton." A lady spoke, annoyed by Eloise. "There is always Lady Whistledown."

"I doubt she will publish anything of note this week." One spoke, smiling.

"What do you mean?" Penelope questioned.

"We are all here, enjoying the countryside together. Anything she might print, surely we will already know. For example, Miss Elenora quite likes speaking to that earl." She grinned, turning her gaze to the mentioned lady. Penelope sipped her lemonade. Whilst Elenora blushed at the call out.

"The Earl is quite mysterious, so if Lady Whistledown finds anything about him, I'd certainly bow down in respect." Elenora smiled.

"This will do splendidly, Elenora." Anastasia walked in, holding a shimmering pink dress.

"Indeed, sister." Elenora smiled, watching the dress be passed to the maid.

"Alexander won't take his eyes off you." Anastasia smiled at her sister in the mirror, the dress finally being tightened.

"You think?" Elenora smiled at the mention of the Earl.

"I know." Anastasia nodded, she stood walking to turn her sister, making them face each other. "Please do not focus on what happened yesterday with Matilda..."

"Ana." Elenora sighed.

"Promise me?" Anastasia said, Elenora nodded, causing Anastasia to smile gratefully.

"Elenora, would you join me for a dance?" Alexander said, meeting the family at the bottom of the steps.

"She would love to." Micheal answered for the girl. Elenora took his hand. The rest of the siblings threw a glare at their father.

The two walked towards the dance floor, passing by Eloise and Penelope. She felt a hand on her upper arm. "Elenora, what are you doing?"

"I have been offered a dance." Elenora smiled, glancing at the man still holding her hand.

"You- what?" Eloise looked utterly confused, eyeing the familiar Earl. "Did you father make you?"

"Well, he did agree for me, but I would've said yes." Elenora smiled, quite giddy already.

"Why?" Eloise staggered back. Penelope eyed the interaction, glancing the hand still being held onto.

"What do you mean wh-?" Elenora frowned, being interrupted.

"Pen, hide me my mother is coming with a suitor." Eloise said, turning away and trying to hide behind the short woman.
