Seokjin and Jeonghan were roughly thrown into a dark, damp cell, the heavy iron door clanging shut behind them. The air was thick with the scent of mildew and despair. As their eyes adjusted to the dim light, they noticed a woman in a nearby cell, visibly pregnant and trembling with fear.
Seokjin's heart ached at the sight. He slowly approached the bars separating their cells, speaking softly. "It's going to be alright. We'll get out of here. What's your name?"
The woman looked up, her eyes wide with panic. "I'm Jisoo, Queen of the Southern Kingdom, Nefra" she said, her voice shaking. "I'm King Junmyeon's wife."
Seokjin's eyes widened in recognition. "Your Majesty, try to stay calm. My name is Seokjin, and I promise we'll find a way out of this. My husband, Duke Namjoon, will not rest until he rescues us."
Seokjin Continued with a calm assurance, though his heart raced with worry. "Your Majesty, What can you tell us about how you ended up here?"
Jisoo looked up, her eyes wide and filled with terror. "They took me from my chambers. There were masked men... they said they were following orders from someone in Hydra."
Seokjin exchanged a glance with Jeonghan, whose tears betrayed his anxiety. "Jeonghan, we need to stay strong. Seungcheol will come for us. He's resilient."
"But what if... what if he's hurt?" Jeonghan whispered, his voice cracking with emotion.
Seokjin reached through the bars, trying to offer comfort. "Seungcheol is tough. He won't give up. We must believe in him."
Suddenly, a chilling laugh pierced the air, followed by the appearance of the Crown Prince of Hydra himself, flanked by Seokjin's treacherous sister, Jia. Their presence cast a shadow over the already grim atmosphere of the dungeon.
"No one is coming to save you," the Crown Prince taunted, his voice laced with contempt. "Your precious Duke will never find you."
Seokjin stood tall, defiance burning in his eyes despite the fear gnawing at his heart. "Namjoon will come. He's stronger and smarter than you think."
Jia stepped forward, her expression twisted with malice. "Oh, dear brother, your confidence is charming. But while Namjoon searches in vain, I'll be there to console him. Soon enough, I'll be his wife, and you will be forgotten."
Seokjin's anger surged, his voice cutting through the eerie silence of the dungeon. "You can plot and scheme all you want, Jia. Namjoon will never fall for your lies. Our bond is unbreakable. He will find us, and you will face the consequences of your betrayal."
Jia's laughter rang harshly through the cold stone walls. "We'll see about that, won't we? Enjoy your time in the darkness, dear brother. It might be your last."
Cold dread snaked down Seokjin's spine as the Crown Prince leaned closer to the iron bars of his cell. The opulent jewel-encrusted robes the Prince wore seemed to mock the dingy, damp prison. His gaze, however, held no princely charm; it was a predator sizing up his prey. A smirk played on the Prince's lips, revealing a glint of something far more sinister than royal amusement.
"And when Jia gets what she wants," the Prince purred, his voice dripping with a sickening sweetness, "I get what I want."
Seokjin met his gaze head-on, his jaw clenched tight. Though fear gnawed at him, he refused to show weakness. "What do you want?" he demanded, his voice surprisingly steady.
The Prince chuckled, a sound devoid of humor. "Why, my dear Seokjin," he said, his eyes widening in mock surprise, "I had never known that you were such a beauty. If I had, I would have married you for myself. You would be having my children now, gracing the palace with your... charm."
