CONTENT WARNING FOR THE CHAPTER: I'm not spoiling anything but you will know it when you see it. Another warning will be placed right beforehand.

I went for my battle belt and quickly clipped it on. I then drew my Five Seven and quickly checked the chamber. I then grabbed my M16A4 and slung it over my shoulder, I looked over at Shira who already had her AR10 in her hands. We both moved to the entrance to our makeshift shelter. I let Shira open it up and I held my gun ready to fire if needed. I didn't expect a mountain of snow to come pouring into the shelter but I guess I probably should have. The surrounding area was covered in around 4 feet of snow give or take. Some areas were shorter than others but the entrance to our little shelter was completely blocked.

"At least we probably haven't been spotted yet." I whispered in a low voice.

I pushed outside of the shelter, shoving past snow as quietly as possible. I panned either way before exiting the shelter, making sure there was no one close by. Once I was outside I looked around for the source of the voices. I quickly spotted a small group of 5 Kalimarians roughly 75 meters away down the hill. There was 3 wolves a white tiger and a leopard. 2 of the wolves were males and the rest were females. They wore a white multicam pattern and on the shoulder of their uniforms I saw the infamous 'Fenrir' patch. I crouched down below the hight of the snow around the shelter and looked back at Shira.

"5 of them. Fenrir. Definitely looking for everyone after the crash." I said to Shira as I took another peak at the group. "I think we can take them if we're careful." I said. I was only able to use my pistol but I was sure as hell was going to hit my shots. "If you can distract them I'll wait for them to pass by and take them from behind." I said. The snow was so tall and the sound of their own footsteps through the snow would be enough to allow Shira to move around and distract them away from the shelter.

(Shira) "Are you sure? You're in no condition to fight." She said looking at me with doubt.

"I'll be fine. It's not like my shoulder is going to stop me from shooting a pistol. Now can you do me a favor and grab my helmet and vest?" I said reassuring her.

(Shira) she shook her head but she did what I asked and grabbed my stuff. "I don't like it but we can't risk them following us." She said.

I watched as Shira began to crawl silently through the snow. I was very surprised by how good she was at just sneaking away because before I knew it she was out of sight completely. I waited silently as I heard the voices and the sounds of the Fenrir Fire team began to slowly move past where I was hidden just outside the shelter. They luckily didn't notice it covered in all the snow and went right past. I suddenly heard the sound of suppressed gunshots and screaming as one of the Fenrir mercs were struck with Shira's .308.

(???) "GAAH FUCK. CONTACT!" I heard one of them yell.

I stood up as they began to fire in Shira's direction and I took aim. They were roughly 50 meters from me. I fired at them with my five seven. I managed to pop two of them in the head, killing them instantly and then hit another in the chest a couple of times knocking him down. Shira's rounds took down what was left of him and the other two in the fire team. I sighed with relief as the gunfight ended. I then began to trudge through the thick snow towards Shira.

"I'm surprised with how well that we-"

*CRACK... SMACK...* A bullet interrupted me as it slammed into the back of my plate carrier. This caused me to trip and fall forward into the snow. "Fuck!" I said as I fell. Luckily the snow was so thick that a practically felt no pain on the way down. The bullet itself was that high of a caliber, couldn't have been more then a 9mm.

(Shira) "God damn it Scott!" I heard Shira say as she approached me and helped to my feet. "I told you this was a bad idea." She said as bullets whizzed past.
