Chapter 3

Before I begin: I just want to say I appreciate the constructive criticism and I will change elements of my story and little details here and there to make it better and improve it overall. this is all being published as my first draft so I expect there to be errors of all sorts and things that make sense in my head but not everyone else's.

(Shira) POV

(Shira) "WAIT NO!" I yelled immediately tackling Scott to the ground as he opened the door.

*BOOM* an explosion went off as the door and the area immediately surrounding it got blown into pieces. I felt a burning sensation on my face and all over my back as the explosion sent us both flying through the air. What felt like forever was only a mere split second as we flew through the air and smashed into a pillar.

*SMACK*

I heard loud ringing in my ears and my body felt like I just got hit by an 18 wheeler.

(Scott) "Arrgggh" the human growled as he rubbed his forehead.

I watched as the human looked up at me and I was confused when he started to blush immensely. That's when I realized that I was laying on top of him in a very suggestive position and my chest was also mere inches from his face. Now for gods sake why I started blushing I couldn't tell you.

(Shira) "I uh..." I began to say but suddenly footsteps could be heard from behind and I turned my head to see two more guards coming out of the doorway that was just obliterated.

(Scott) "GET DOWN!" The human screamed and all of the sudden I saw him draw his pistol before I felt myself being pulled down against him by his free arm.

*BANG BANG BANG, BANG BANG.* I heard five shots from the pistol ring out as I was held close to the human. I then heard two bodies hit the floor and I could feel the sigh the human let out of his chest.

(Scott) "Uh shira." The human said. "You can get off of me now."

That's when I realized that I was holding the human with both arms and still hugging him against the chest.

(Shira) "Oh... sorry" I apologized leaning back and eventually rolling off him.

Despite both of our helmets being knocked off along with our night vision, my eyes had already adjusted enough to see the humans face was bright red. I also realized in that very moment that I was also blushing as I stared at him. The human noticed me staring and glanced up at me. I quickly looked away of course and pretended to be looking for my rifle.

(Scott) POV

My face was flush red with embarrassment and it didn't help that I thought I saw the wolf staring at me after that. I couldn't see shit because of the dark and I searched around for any evidence of my helmet or my rifle.

"Uh can you see my helmet or my rifle anywhere?" I asked still looking at the ground for wherever that explosion sent them.

(Scott) "Oh uh..." she said as I watched start looking around. She then walked over to something on the ground and picked it up. "Here I found your rifle at least." She said tossing it to me.

I caught the rifle and decided to give it a good shake to see if anything was falling off of it or if it was making any noises is was not supposed to make. That's when I heard a faint sound of a radio nearby
