everyone was surprised by the jump back, that kokoro had gone through
"kokoro where are you going" ichigo said
"to get my husband back, move" she replied
"how do you intend to do that" zorome asked
"by following my teammates footsteps" she responded, as she walked past them, they watched her going towards the franxx monument, and their eyes widened
"she isn't" goro started, but they soon learned that she was, as the genista activated and transformed into stampede mode, turning it's attention on cerasus
"uh oh" ichigo said, as genista moved to attack the plantation, it didn't take long for unit-01 to make it's own appearance
"kokoro what are you doing" i asked, only to receive a growl in response, as genista began to attack unit-01, with a ferocity that would impress 02, of course she couldn't lay a scratch upon the evangelion, do to it's AT-field being active, but mitsuru knew what stampede mode would do to the pistils, and so had no real choice, but to fight back, he'd have to hurt her, to protect her
"i'm sorry for this kokoro" i said, as unit-01 drew it's progknife, and began to systematically attack the franxx targeting areas he knew wouldn't kill her mostly targeting the limbs, as the genista stopped moving he sighed, i relief
"kokoro is unconscious" hachi said, i sighed
"thank you hachi" i said, he nodded, as i ripped the cockpit of genista opened before climbing out of unit-01, and carrying kokoro back to the stargazer, and more specifically to sickbay
"i have rubbed off on you a little too much kokoro" i said
"is she alright" ichigo asked
"hachi told me she was just unconscious, i assume he was watching her vitals from the command center of cerasus" i said, as i entered sickbay and laid her down, the EMH activated and began to treat her
"everyone but the captain, out" the doctor ordered, i nodded to them
"if there is anyone who's duty is protecting her it's me, as her partner and as her husband" i said, reluctantly they left at that, 02 pushing them out the door, before nodding to me and leaving herself, a few hours later she awoke, and was met by a hug the moment i saw her awake
"please never do that again" i said
"i needed to get your attention, what better way" she said
"i can't lose you kokoro" i said
"then don't walk away from me" she responded
"i have rubbed off on you a little too much" i said, she shrugged
"marry me" i said, she blinked
"marry me again, let's renew our vows, have a proper wedding" i said, she smiled
"okay" she responded, and i leaned in and kissed her, 02 quickly entered
"mitsuru, there's a red haired male, demanding to meet you" 02 said
"red haired........ lucifer, you stay and rest, i will deal with him" i said to kokoro
"don't leave me" she said
"never, any decision that is made, we will make together, i've learned my lesson" i said, as i have her a kiss on the forehead
"where is he" i asked 02
"that command room, at the top of the ship" she said
"the bridge" i said as i made my way to the turbolift
"bridge" i ordered, as the turbolift activated and led me to the bridge
"ah azrael, or should i say, hanabira mitsuru" he said
"what is it, you want lucifer" i asked
"to help you, and your family of course, i have set up a place in the underworld for your people to create their own settlement" lucifer said
"why" i said
"besides the fact that you have put the fear of god in great red AND ophis, and killed trihexa, the only other threat to them and us, how about how you revolutionized everything, your vaults have allowed us to come out into the open we haven't had to hide ourselves from the mundane anymore, we have crushed all other elements of the chaos brigade, Dr. akagi, and ajuka are good, but you are better" he said, i sighed
"i'm not really sure i want to bring my family into devil politics, i heard how your sister got free of that engagement, lucifer, me people just came out of a war" i said, he snorted
"are you saying you can't protect them" he asked
"i am not God, lucifer" i said
"no, but, you are a well known name, or rather your alias is, many fear azrael, as such i doubt they will touch your family" he said, i snorted
"really then why did the fallen angel kokabiel attack kuoh, they won't be safe, they will be targets, lucifer" i asked
"are you really willing to force them to start from scratch when we are willing to help them" sirzechs asked
"the stargazer is here to help them along, but the main thing is they are safe here, they have nothing to worry about, i cannot say the same for the supernatural" i said
"mitsuru i think we should talk with the others about this" 02 said, i looked at her but sighed
"fine, go get them" i said, she nodded, and entered the turbolift
"your adamant about getting me back" i said
"we are, you are a big name in the supernatural, both my faction and yasaka's would like to keep you as an ally, or even a part of our respective factions" he responded as the squad came onto the bridge
"guys allow me to introduce sirzechs lucifer, lucifer, squad 13, by which my name originates" i said, he bowed
"what does he want" ichigo asked
"when i left, i made a few 'friends' we will call them, he's one of them, he wants me back, and by extension you all would come with me" i said
"i sense a but" goro said
"i am a well known name, and everyone will know your affiliated with me, that includes those who wish to use you to get to me, your lives would be in danger" i said, there was a pause
"would we still be free" i asked
"yes, i can guarantee that, unless lucifer wishes to piss me off, you'll be free to live your lives" i said
"then, i am sure you'll give us the tools to protect ourselves" ichigo said
"of course i would, but are you sure, you want to do this, you don't have to, i have enough dilithium on the stargazer to last our entire lifetime, we would live in comfort and peace while we help the others create a better future for ourselves, no danger necessary" i said
"lucifer won't leave us alone until you accept" ichigo said, i paused before turning my head to lucifer with an aggravated expression
"you won't will you" i said
"i'm afraid not, though finding this universe was slightly tricky" he said, i sighed i looked at the squad, as kokoro walked up to me, while nodding her head
"fine, it seems i am outvoted, there are few things i want to collect, so the stargazer will have to make a few trips" i said
"of course" he said
