"now then, you helped lucifer so here i am, lucifer has told me he will take care of transferring unit-01 back to NERV, like that will be around very long" i said

"of course, i do, i am what you made me, a soldier, unwilling or not, it seems i am also a leader, which is ichigo's job, but c'est la vie" i said, as i made my way to the commander's office taking my seat behind the desk
"katsuragi, i trust hachi here, more then i trust you, so i am naming him subcommander of this base" i said
"understood" misato said, she sat down two datapads
"the first one, is a direct report from NERV, we have consolidated the resources we have but we have yet to start expanding those resources commander" she said i nodded
"the second" i asked
"a request, from the devils, they say that we can do better, now that we have expanded their peerage system they want to further empower it something about tannin sir" she said, i nodded
"understood, set up a meeting with beelzebub, i will speak with him" i said
"sir" she replied
"dismissed" i said, as she left, i looked at hachi
"i'm sorry for dumping this position without asking on you, comma-" i was cut off by him raising his hand
"my duty is to protect you and your squad, if that means i have to be your disciplinary arm for these individuals, then very well, it is something i am well versed in by this point" hachi said
"thank you commander" i said, as i sighed, a few moments later i was getting a call
"yes katsuragi" i said
"sir, beelzebub would like to meet you now, the moment i said, that you would talk with him he portaled in" misato said
"send him up" i said
"understood commander" misato said, a few minutes later ajuka walked in excitedly
"i hope you understand, that i do not intend to copy tannin, there is a point where something is two goddamn big" i said
"but you have ideas" he said
"i have a few, we will need a guinea pig" i said
"grayfia volunteered, she has yet to be re-recruited into sirzechs peerage" he said, i nodded
"this is subcommander hachi, my right hand, although he may not know what we are talking about, his job is keeping this base in line, especially since i am opening it up, to devils and yokai" i said
"right, so ignore his presence" ajuka asked
"that will be fine, lord beelzebub" hachi said in agreement
"right then let's begin" he said, i sighed what have i gotten myself into with this mad scientist
our work began on upgrading the peerage system, transforming the pieces so that they reincarnated people not into devils but into devil dragons, which will make the traditionalists happy, they also layered many protections around the new pieces so that a reincarnated piece couldn't betray their master, there were however loopholes in place, a piece could go to another king and be recruited by that king removing the previous piece for a new one, this was to make certain that kings treated their peerages right
what made these pieces interesting however was that they also became pseudo sacred gears, for their master or other members of the peerage to mae use of, as they were able to transform into magical objects, usually weapons though not always, what a person turned into depended both on the reincarnated piece and on the reincarnator, that would make them into devil dragons
