Heeseung & Aera
After freshening up in their room, Aera and Minju headed out to the karaoke bar, feeling excited and slightly apprehensive. They knew the boys had reserved a VIP room and had invited them to join. As they entered, they noticed that the guys had already ditched their tuxes, the formal attire now strewn across the chairs.
"Wow, so much for the golden theme," Aera joked, trying to lighten the mood. "This is a terrible idea considering we're university students who can't sing to save our lives, while you guys are, you know, professional singers."
Jungwon grinned. "Don't worry, we're here to have fun, not judge."
"Speak for yourself," Jay teased, winking at Aera. "Just kidding. Relax and enjoy."
Minju and Aera settled in, and the karaoke session began in earnest. Sunghoon kicked things off, and his voice was smooth and captivating, earning compliments from the girls.
"You're really good," Minju said, clapping her hands. "We might have to step up our game, Aera."
"Yeah, right," Aera laughed. "I'm pretty sure my singing could clear this room in seconds."
As the night progressed, the drinks kept flowing, and everyone started to loosen up. The more alcohol they consumed, the worse the singing became, turning the karaoke session into a hilarious mess.
Aera was giggling uncontrollably, clearly tipsy. Minju, who didn't drink much, kept a watchful eye on her friend. "Just don't do anything stupid, okay?"
"I make no promises," Aera said, standing up. "I'm going to sing."
The room erupted into cheers and laughter as Aera took the mic. Her performance was, as expected, terrible but incredibly funny. She swayed slightly, belting out off-key notes with abandon.
Heeseung laughed, unable to hide his amusement. "You call that singing?"
Aera, still giggling, shot back, "Like you can do any better."
Heeseung's eyes twinkled mischievously. "Challenge accepted." He stood up, grabbed the mic, and began to sing. His voice was sweet and smooth, captivating everyone in the room. It was clear why he was a professional.
Aera, rendered speechless by his talent, had no witty comeback. She just stood there, her mouth slightly agape.
"See? Told you," Heeseung said with a smug grin as he finished his song.
Minju nudged Aera. "Close your mouth, you look like a fish."
Aera snapped her jaw shut, feeling a mix of admiration and annoyance. "Alright, I'll admit it. You're good."
"Damn right I am," Heeseung replied, smirking.
Sunoo, eager to break the tension, started another song, pulling Minju up to sing with him. The rest of the night was filled with laughter, terrible singing, and playful banter. Despite their bickering, Aera and Heeseung couldn't deny that there was a spark between them, even if they wouldn't admit it.
