Rocky woke up and after getting ready. He was about to mop the floor but Anu stopped him and said,
"Let me do it, you can go to the market. "
"It's too early Anu, the shops won't be opened. "
"Here the shops will open at 6 so you can go now and don't forget to take the list of vegetables to buy. It's over the table."
Horn sound was heard, it was Priya she was waiting in the bike and Rocky hoped on the bike.
This time as they came early, the sun doesn't seem to be a trouble.
"The market is crowded even at this early hour." Wondered Rocky.
"Market will be crowded at anytime Rocky. " Laughed Priya.
Then they bought all the vegetables given in the list and he again carried the bags behind her, the only change is that he carried the bag behind Priya and not Anu.
When they returned and arranged the vegetables.
Priya called,
"Rocky, common let me teach you how to drive. "
"Coming Priya" Rocky ran outside.
She told him to get over the bike and said
"First, Remove the kick-stand using your left
foot. "
He just followed her instructions.
"Now, insert the key in and rotate to switch the scooty on",
"Finally, Hold the brake lever with your left hand and press the "start" button to ignite and start the engine. "
He slowly started the bike and she continued
"Keep you shoulder straight and slowly rotate the handlebar. "
He rotated it at full speed and lost control and fell on the ground. She ran towards him and helped to get up.
When they are back Priya told Anu that
"It's better for him to learn cycling first. "
"Are you injured anywhere? " Anu rushed.
He showed his hand and it was a little scratch .
She told him to sit and did the first aid, he looked at her who was busy in treating his wound and wondered , as he could see the concern for him in his eyes. It reminded him of his mother, he never really lend an ear to her.
He asked ,
"You care about me Anu?"
"Of course I need to because you are my employee", she tilted her head. His heart felt a little pain hearing this.
He said to himself,
"Just an employ. "
"Is the scooty okay Priya? "Asked Anu
"Yes it's fine "
"Anu, as I am injured can I get a leave tomorrow. "
Anu laughed "you call this an injury"
"Didn't it.. It really pains , Anu please let me take a leave ."
"Huh.. You are too spoiled. "
"Will I get a leave ?"
"Mmm."
"What does 'Mmm' mean."
"Mmm fine you can take leave,
Rocky. "
He didn't utter a word ,
"What.. You called me Rocky for the first time , am I dreaming, "
He pinched himself and wondered whether he is dreaming
"Ouch, it's not a dream"
"Rocky... "Said Priya
"Yes... What is it? "
"I have something to ask ? "Asked priya
"Say it. "
"You have been here for 12 days and haven't your parents looked for you? "
He was silent for a moment.
Continued her
"Don't mistake me if I'm wrong."
" No, you're not. It's...its...just.....probably because I haven't looked for them"
"What.. Does it... "
