Panic gripped Blaze as he heard his father's footsteps approaching. In a moment of desperation, he closed his eyes and focused intensely on the destruction around him. "Come on," he muttered, "if I can break it, I should be able to fix it, right?"
To his astonishment, he felt the Obori Shard's power surge through him, different this time - more controlled, more purposeful. When he opened his eyes, golden tendrils of energy were flowing from his fingertips, enveloping the bathroom in a soft, warm light.
Blaze watched in awe as the damage began to reverse itself. The hole in the bathtub sealed up, metal and enamel flowing like water to recreate its original form. Cracks in the toilet vanished, the porcelain knitting itself back together. Shards of mirror flew from the floor, reassembling in the frame as if time were running backward.
The vaporized shower curtain condensed from the steam in the air, molecules realigning to form the fabric anew. Water retreated back into the pipes, which sealed themselves shut. Even the scorch marks on the walls faded away, leaving the paint pristine.
In a matter of seconds, the bathroom was restored to its original state - no, better than original. Everything gleamed as if brand new, not a speck of dust or sign of wear anywhere to be seen.
Blaze stood in the center of the immaculate bathroom, his heart pounding with exhilaration and relief. He had done it. He had not only repaired the damage but had improved everything he'd touched.
Just as the golden glow faded, there was a knock at the door. "Blaze?" his father called, concern evident in his voice. "Is everything okay in there? I heard some strange noises."
Blaze took a deep breath, amazed at how quickly the situation had turned around. "Everything's fine, Dad," he replied, surprised at how steady his voice sounded. "Just... dropped something. I'll be out in a minute."
As his father's footsteps retreated, Blaze looked at his reflection in the now-flawless mirror. His eyes still shimmered with golden light, but there was a new confidence in them. He had caused chaos, yes, but he had also fixed it. It was a small step, but an important one.
"Okay, Holyark," he whispered to himself, a smile tugging at his lips. "Maybe we can figure this out after all."
