Ch. 1: What happened to nakama?

Lucy's POV
I guess you can say it's an ordinary day for me as I lazily got out of bed and slipped into the shower.

"Ever since Lissanna came back, Team Natsu never really bothered to talk to me." I thought as I rinsed off the remaining strawberry shampoo in my hair

When I got out, I just slipped on my usual outfit and kept my hair down. Then I left for the guild. 'I wonder if Team Natsu will talk to me today?' I thought as I arrived at the front of the guild a few moments later

As I walked in, I said hi to Levy, Gajeel, Lily, Wendy, and Carla. Then I headed straight for the bar to ask Mira for the usual.

"Hi Mira! Do you think I can have a strawberry milkshake?"

"Sure Lucy! Just give me a moment." chirped Mira

After a few minutes, she came back out and handed me the drink.

"So what's happening in your love life Lucy?" Mira asked with a sneaky glimmer in her eyes

"Well Mira, I don't even know if I even have a life anymore. It's just that-"

"Hey Lucy!" Natsu said as he walked towards me and smiled with his signature grin

I noticed then that the whole guild turned to us. 'Its probably because Natsu hasn't been talking to me since the day Lissanna arrived and all of a sudden he is.' I thought bitterly

"Yes Natsu?" I said with a fake smile

'I somehow have a bad feeling about this...'

That's when Erza came over with Gray trailing a bit far behind her.

"Umm.. well can you quit the team Lucy?" asked Natsu

'I knew it...'

"Uh sure! But why?" I questioned him while shaking

Mira glared at him and gave me a sympathetic look.

"Eh well, the thing is that you always complain about not having enough rent money, so here's you chance!" Natsu said

"Also, you need more strength, so by going on solo missions, you'll get stronger! That's like killing two birds with one one stone!" Ezra added and Gray looked away with sympathy in his eyes

By then I was shaken up and my bangs covered my eyes, shielding me from their view

"Lucy-chan..." Mira said

"N-No. It's fine Mira," I began as tears threatened to spill, "I just want to know something. Are you replacing me with someone?"

"Of course! We're replacing you with Lissanna!" exclaimed Natsu

'*pang* Wow, that really hurts... But I knew this would happen sometime soon anyways..'

"Okay, well I hope you have fun from now on! I'm just gonna head back home.."

As I stood up and walked past my ex- team, a silent tear fell from my eyes.

'I guess this is what they thi-' I began to think but a huge pain erupted in my chest and I collapsed on the floor in the middle of the guild

"Oh my gosh! Lucy are you all right?!" exclaimed Mira as she rushed over to help me

"Lu-chan!" Levy also exclaimed and ran over to help me up

"Y-Yeah... I'm fine guys..." I said quietly as I stood

*pang* Another pain roared in my chest and now seeped into my head giving me a massive headache.

"Agghh!!!!!!!" I screamed as the pain spread throughout my body

"Lucy! Lucy!! LUCY!!!" I heard Mira scream till I lost consciousness

Normal POV

"Gajeel! Come help me get Lu-chan into the infirmary!!" Levy shouted

"I'm coming shrimp!" Gajeel exclaimed as he dropped the piece of iron he was chewing

As Gajeel helped Lucy up, he dropped her almost immediately.

"Agh! What the hell?!" Gajeel said as he looked at his sizzling hands

The fingerless gloves were burning and his hands were red and bleeding.

"Oh gosh! Gajeel are you o-" Levy began to say but stopped when Lucy started shining

"What is all this commo-" Master asked as he came out of his office but stopped when he saw Gajeel's hands, a surprised guild, and Lucy shining brightly

Master looked away with pure sadness in his eyes.

"Layla, your daughter passed your test. Are you happy now?" Master whispered quietly as he looked up and closed his eyes to think

By then, the light that Lucy gave off engulfed her completely till her body wasn't visible anymore. Then a huge magic circle appeared under her. After that, everything changed completely.

Lucy's POV

'What is this sensation I feel? It's so warm,' I began to think but I felt myself being tugged back into reality, 'Shit.. oh well...'
