Saturday 💚🍀🍁🍂

I decided to start my day by tidying up my room, which had become a bit cluttered over the past week. I started by making my bed, straightening the sheets and fluffing the pillows.

Next, I moved on to organizing my desk, sorting through stacks of papers, books, and miscellaneous items. I created neat piles for each category, making sure everything had a designated spot.

Then I carried the hamper of dirty clothes downstairs including my siblings, uncle clothes, ready to head to the laundry room. As I walked down the stairs, I could smell the faint aroma of breakfast coming from the kitchen.

Entering the laundry room, I started sorting my clothes into different piles - one for colors, one for whites, and one for darks. I fed the right amount of detergent into the washing machine, set the water temperature, and started the wash cycle.

As I watched the clothes swirl around in the machine, I couldn't help but feel a pang of nostalgia. I thought about my past life, when I had to wash my clothes by hand, using a tub and a washboard. It was a lot of work, but there was something meditative about the process.

I finished loading the last of the clothes into the washing machine and closed the lid, setting the timer for the cycle to end. Then, I decided to go to the kitchen to check out before doing anything else.

As I entered the kitchen, I saw my older brother Kailo cooking some food on the stove. The aroma of rice, chicken, and veggies wafted through the air, making my mouth water. He stirred the steaming pot, adding spices and seasonings to give the dish his signature touch.

My younger sister Elora was nearby, sweeping the floor with a look of concentration on her face. She always took her chores seriously, making sure the whole house was spotless. I knew our uncle were at the store, stocking up on groceries.

I approached my brother, watching him cook. "Hey, that smells good," I said, leaning on the counter next to him.

Kailo glanced at me, a smirk on his face. "Yeah, I thought I'd make something special. You're just in time to taste-test." He handed me a spoon, gesturing for me to try the food.

My older brother Kailo was unusually tall for his age, standing at 5'9 ft, and he was only 16 years old, quite ironic, his a long hair guy, and of course his wearing his hair tie that he burrow from me.

I took the spoon from him and took a taste of the dish he was cooking. The blend of flavors exploded in my mouth, making me close my eyes in pleasure.

"Mmm, this is delicious," I said, savoring the taste. "You really outdid yourself."

Kailo grinned at my compliment, clearly pleased with my reaction. "Thanks, I've been practicing my cooking skills lately. Glad to know it's paying off."

Our younger sister Elora who is 7 years old, approached us, abandoning her sweeping for a moment. She looked at us with her big, curious eyes, always eager to be included.

"What are you guys talking about?" she asked, tilting her head to one side. Her small frame made her look even more adorable.

Kailo glanced down at her, a fond smile on his face. "We're just talking about my awesome cooking skills," he said, ruffling her hair playfully.

Elora squealed in protest, attempting to swat his hand away. "Stop it, I just fixed my hair!" she exclaimed, pouting a bit.

Kailo chuckled at her reaction, clearly enjoying teasing her. "Oh, come on," he said, feigning innocence. "Can't a big brother show a little affection to his little sister?"
