IN WHICH... THEIR CHILD ASKS THEM QUESTIONS THEY WEREN'T EXPECTING
Y/N AND KEANDRIAN HAD BEEN ON EDGE LATELY.Work stress, late nights, and the demands of parenting had been weighing on them. But last night, they had thrown all that aside.
In the dim light of their bedroom, shadows danced on the walls as they lost themselves in each other.
"Keandrian, oh my God," Y/N gasped, her breath ragged and heavy as Keandrian's hands moved over her.
"Fuck, Y/N, you feel so good," Keandrian groaned, his voice deep and raw with desire.
The moans and gasps filled the room, mingling with the rhythm of their bodies. For a while, the world outside was just a distant memory, nothing mattered but the heat between them.
Hours later, as they lay tangled in the sheets, the sounds of their passion had faded into the quiet of the early morning. They drifted off to sleep, exhausted and sated.
The next morning, the sun filtered through the blinds, casting warm streaks of light across the room. Y/N and Keandrian were still wrapped up in each other, but the peace was short-lived. The little pitter-patter of footsteps on the floor was a gentle reminder that they weren't alone.
Their daughter, Shanti, stood at the doorway, her wide eyes taking in the scene. "Mommy, Daddy, why were you two yelling last night?"
Y/N and Keandrian froze, eyes meeting over the top of the covers.
"Uh... What do you mean, sweetie?" Y/N stammered, trying to hide the blush creeping up her cheeks.
Shanti scrunched up her face in confusion. "I heard a lot of noises. It sounded like you were fighting."
Keandrian bit back a chuckle, trying to keep a straight face. "Fighting? Nah, baby, we weren't fighting. We were just, uh, having a little argument."
Shanti tilted her head, clearly not buying it. "But it didn't sound like a fight. It sounded more like you were making noise on purpose."
Y/N let out a soft laugh, her embarrassment fading. "Well, sometimes when people love each other, they make noises. But it's not like a fight, okay? It's just us being close."
Shanti nodded slowly, still trying to piece together the mystery of the previous night. "Okay. I was just worried you guys were upset with each other."
Keandrian reached out and ruffled Shanti's hair. "Nah, we're good, sweetie. Everything's cool. We were just having some adult time."
Shanti's eyes widened. "Adult time? What's that?"
Y/N and Keandrian exchanged a look, both of them trying not to laugh at the innocence of the question.
"It's just grown-up stuff," Y/N explained. "You don't need to worry about it."
Shanti seemed satisfied with that, her curiosity satisfied for now. "Okay. Can I have breakfast?"
"Of course," Keandrian said, scooting out of bed and pulling on a shirt. "Let's get you some breakfast."
As Shanti skipped out of the room, Y/N and Keandrian looked at each other, the remnants of their earlier passion still lingering in the air.
"Guess we gotta be more careful next time," Y/N said, a smirk playing on her lips.
Keandrian grinned, pulling her into a quick, tender kiss. "Yeah, or at least be ready to explain ourselves."
They laughed, the tension of the past days easing as they settled into their roles as parents once again.
"Come on," Y/N said, grabbing Keandrian's hand. "Let's make her pancakes."
"Pancakes it is," Keandrian agreed, following her out of the bedroom.
As they walked to the kitchen, the echoes of the night before were replaced by the sound of Shanti's laughter, filling their home with a different kind of warmth.
