Raghavendra was sleeping peacefully with his head on Manyata's lap, her hands gently caressing his hair.
Manyata leaned back against the bedrest, her eyes closed.
Suddenly, they both heard a commotion from outside, abruptly breaking their peaceful moment.
Raghavendra sat up, alarmed.
Raghavendra: What's happening?
He asked.
Manyata: (looked equally confused) I don't know.
He stood up, offering his hand to her.
Raghavendra: Come, let's go.
She nodded, and they both headed towards the living room.
Upon arrival, they saw the police present, along with Chandrika, Pavitra, Raghavi, Maithili, Aniket, Kush, and Chitra.
Raghavendra's eyes narrowed as he took in the scene.
Raghavendra: What's happening here? Commissioner, what are you doing here?
He demanded in his intimidating voice.
The commissioner shivered slightly but composed himself.
Commissioner: Mr. Shergill, we are here because Mr. Kush Shergill called us.
Everyone turned to look at Kush.
Raghavendra: (his eyes bore into his brother) Kush, you called the police?
Kush: (nodded) Yes, Bhai, I did.
Chandrika: (looking worried, asked) But why, puttar?
Kush: (took a deep breath) There is a murderer in the house, so I thought to get that murderer arrested.
The room fell into shocked silence, except for Chitra, who looked pleased.
She felt as if her son had finally believed her.
In her excitement, she said
Chitra: Yes, officer, my son is right. There is a murderer in the house. My husband was killed by none other than Raghavendra Shergill. Please arrest him.
Everyone was stunned, but Kush quickly interjected.
Kush: No, officer, I called you to arrest Mrs. Chitra Shergill for the murder of Mrs. Poonam Shergill and for plotting against the Shergill family. She is also involved in the death of Mr. Namit Shergill.
Chitra's face turned pale.
The ground beneath her seemed to vanish.
She never imagined her own son would betray her like this.
Chandrika and Pavitra were equally shocked; they had no idea that Poonam and Namit were murdered.
Chandrika had tears in her eyes, remembering the deaths of Poonam and Namit.
