Jessica's POV

The next day*

We were not woken by a loud bell today, I was glad but I still woke up early..

Mia and I were in the cafeteria with only a few people including Kendall, Kieran's sister. I expected her to be staring at me like she was planning my murder but it was nothing like that.

She just calmly stared at me.... curiously even, did Kieran tell her about my hair I thought pulling the head warmer down slightly. Mia waved at jade beckoning him over to our table.

He looked more healthy than the last time I saw him. He approached our table before sitting. "Hey" he greeted.

Mia ended up telling him everything that has happened since he was not around. I listened eating fries before I started looking around the cafeteria. I had a fry in my mouth.

I stared at Ajax that was already staring at me, he gave me a smile and a wave, I waved back looking away from him before Monica starts to plan my murder.

"Hey guys" I heard and I looked back to the table, I saw that Alex had joined. "Hi" I greeted back.

He whispered something to Mia. She nodded once then he got up and left. "I'll be right back" she said to jade and I. She left in the same direction Alex had left in.

"Weird" jade said

"Right?" I asked with a chuckle. "So, how is your mission going?" He took Mia's milkshake.

"how'd you know" I asked not really surprised that everyone is knowing things I want to hide from them.

"You spoke with Mia when you thought I was asleep" he said.

"Right" i mumbled.

"It's okay, I won't tell anyone" he smiled, a set of dimple appearing on his cheek.
He looks younger, feminine and adorable.

"Well, you have heard it all, I have no leads whatsoever" I said. He responded with a hmm.

"It is also not safe to talk here...many of the people here have very keen hearing sense" he muttered and I nodded.

"Can I ask something then?" I spoke and he nodded

"Can you open your eyes?"

He paused before speaking.

"I can't, not here at least...my eyes can open but in another realm....I prefer to keep it closed" he sipped the milkshake.

"Why not just go to the realm? do you not want to see?" I asked.

"I do but....it is better if I don't,seers become obsessed with seeing when they go to this realm and....the realm is not one you can stay at for too long and when they go there..."

"they won't want to leave" I said and he nodded "exactly"

"My eyes were opened untill I was 10, I still have some memories of what the world looks like, it's like I have not seen everyone of my family in a long time even when they are with me" he said

I don't know if his ability is a blessing or a curse. I can't imagine not being able to see.

"If you had a choice...will you let go of this ability?" I asked.

He raised his head thinking then he looked in my direction. With a small smile he said..

"No.... No,I won't " he shook his head.

I nodded.

"It is a blessing as much as it is a curse, I can foresee harm before it comes besides I have come to terms with it"
