Sunshine and Shadows

The air hung thick with unspoken tension as YN settled into her seat, sandwiched between Taehyung and Jungkook.

 She wasn't sure what she'd done to warrant their icy treatment, but it was making her stomach churn with a familiar blend of annoyance and insecurity. 

Their blatant disregard for her presence felt like a personal attack, and the feeling of being invisible to them was agonizing.

YN, a girl known for her gentle nature, wasn't one to confront them directly. The thought of throwing shade at the stoic Taehyung or the brooding Jungkook made her palms sweat. 

As the minutes ticked by, every glance in her direction, every whispered joke, felt like a jab at her heart.

Finally, the bell rang, signaling the end of the torturous class. YN sighed in relief, eager to escape the suffocating atmosphere. Just as she was about to gather her things, a friendly face turned her way.

"Hey! You must be new, right?" A bubbly young man with a bright smile and a contagious energy greeted her. "I'm Hobi! What's your name?"

YN smiled back, feeling a touch of warmth seep into her chest. "I'm YN."

Hobi's smile widened. "It's nice to meet you, YN! I'm so glad you sat next to me today, it made class so much more bearable."

YN chuckled, finding herself drawn to Hobi's vibrant personality. They chatted for a few more minutes, Hobi's infectious laughter chasing away the lingering coldness of the previous hour.

As the classroom emptied, YN noticed Taehyung disappearing towards the library, his expression still as unreadable as ever. 

Jungkook, however, was nowhere to be seen. YN wondered if she'd ever understand what went on in those two boys' heads.

 For now, she was content to enjoy Hobi's company and hope for a more pleasant school day tomorrow.
