The night air was thick with anticipation as YN made her way down the dimly lit lane leading to the library.

Her heart raced in excitement; the thought of losing herself in countless manga volumes was enough to keep her moving forward, despite the shadows that loomed around her. She tightened her grip on her bag, reminding herself that the library was just up ahead.

As she turned a corner, she suddenly collided with something solid.

The impact knocked her to the ground, and she looked up, dazed, to see a motorcycle lying sideways and a figure clad in black leather sprawled on the pavement.

The motorcyclist, visibly shaken, quickly rolled onto his back and sat up. In the semi-darkness, YN felt a surge of panic.

"Are you alright?" she stammered, rushing to help him up.

Before he had the chance to respond, YN noticed menacing figures emerging from the shadows, their faces barely illuminated by the dim streetlights.

They were clearly chasing the motorcycle guy, and the realization sent chills down her spine.

The motorcyclist, still wearing a full-face helmet, looked at the approaching figures in alarm. In one swift motion, he grabbed YN's hand.

"Run!" he shouted, pulling her along. They sprinted down the lane, the sound of their footsteps echoing in the night, their breath coming in quick, panicked gasps.

They soon reached a small train station, the dim lights flickering above them offering a brief sense of safety.

YN fumbled for her phone, and in a moment of clarity, she pulled up a police siren app. As she pressed play, the loud sound sliced through the night, making YN feel a little more secure.

The figures behind them hesitated, glancing at each other, then they cursed under their breath and retreated into the shadows.

Panting, both YN and the helmet guy leaned against the station wall for support. With the immediate danger subsided, the adrenaline began to fade.

The motorcyclist, still withholding his identity, slowly removed his helmet and shook his hair out. YN's breath caught in her throat as she recognized him instantly—none other than Jungkook, the boy from her school who had an aura of confidence that seemed almost otherworldly.

He looked like a Greek god, athletic and strong in his leather jacket, his dark hair slightly tousled.

"Why did you save me, you pretty dimwit?" Jungkook asked, a smirk creeping onto his lips as he wiped dirt off his jacket.

"Me? You're the one who crashed into me!" YN replied, crossing her arms defiantly. Anger bubbled within her, but mixed with an odd flutter of excitement at being so close to him.

"I didn't see you! You were in the way!" He shot back, clearly amused by her irritation.

"Maybe if you had been more careful instead of zooming around at night like a reckless idiot!" YN retorted, her voice rising.

"That's rich coming from someone who's wandering alone at night!" Jungkook fired back, his teasing tone causing YN to glare at him, but she couldn't help the smile tugging at her lips.

"So what now, motorcycle boy?" YN shot back, trying to sound tough despite her heart racing from both fear and exhilaration.

He leaned back, crossing his arms and grinning widely. "How about you start using that pretty brain of yours and find a way to thank me for saving your life?"

"Why would I thank you? You were the one who crashed!"

They stood there, bickering like children, the tension of the earlier chase slowly dissipating into playful banter.

The night felt less ominous now, and despite their argument, there was an undeniable connection hanging in the air between them.

"Seriously though, are you okay?" Jungkook asked, his expression shifting from playful to genuine concern.

"I...I think so," YN said, surprised by his sudden seriousness. "But I managed to take down two guys, and you crash into me? That's a whole new level of rescue."

"Maybe we make a good team after all." His grin widened, and for a brief moment, their previous squabble was forgotten.

"Team? Please, you just get into trouble," she replied, rolling her eyes, but she couldn't ignore the fluttering feeling building in her chest whenever he looked at her like that.

"Then why do you keep coming back for more?" he teased, leaning closer.

YN felt her cheeks flush as she stammered, "Because you keep crashing into me!"

"You should be more careful where you walk," Jungkook said, a glimmer of mischief in his eyes.

The banter continued, each exchange filled with sarcasm and witty retorts, a dance of words that built a bridge between their worlds.

It was strange and exhilarating to be here, caught up in this chaotic moment with Jungkook, and YN found herself hoping that maybe, just maybe, this night would lead to something more than just a library visit.
