ALASTOR'S POV:

I made my way through Cannibal Town, and trying to think of how I was going to word my situation to Rosie..

I arrived at her residence and I knocked rhythmically.

She opened the door with a big grin.
"There he is!! Come in, come in!"

I did exactly that.
"It's lovely to see you, as always my dear!"
I said as I stepped inside.

She sat down at the small table that had cannibalistic snacks on it and gestured to the chair across from her.

I sat down and let out a sigh.

Rosie poured us some tea with a smile.
"So.. How have you been?"
She asked.

"Well.. Things have certainly been interesting lately."
I told her.

"Oh? Do tell!"
She said, sipping her tea.

After sipping mine, I continued.

"Yes, well.. A week or so ago, Charlie approached me and begged for me to try and make peace with her father, Lucifer... Who I have a bit of a rivalry with."
I explained.

Rosie nodded, listening intently.

"So.. For the sake of Charlie, I agreed. She urged me to give him a gift as a 'peace offering'.. So I decided to give him a classic radio. The good kind, of course. I figured he could use a bit of class."
I said.

Rosie chuckled and nodded.

"Anyways.. Apparently Charlie had told the same thing to Lucifer.. And I was presented with a gift as well. He made me one of those rubber ducks that he makes, designed to resemble me."

Rosie chuckled.
"How adorable!!"

I fought the urge to roll my eyes.
"I suppose... But he also gave me a surprisingly lovely treat. Candy apples that had a cannibalistic surprise inside."

Rosie licked her lips.
"My!! That does sound delicious!"

"It actually was rather good, I must admit. But that's beside the point... We both mutually accepted the peace offerings and we decided to temporarily put our differences aside for the sake of Charlie and wanting to support her. But then.. during this truce.. We started to have conversations. Calm and civil conversations.."
I explained.

Rosie raised a brow.
"Oh? Well that's certainly a surprise.."

"Indeed, it was.. I was sort of shocked that it was even possible... He showed interest in my life, of all things. And I actually enjoyed sharing my tales with somebody.. And because I enjoyed his interest in my stories, I decided it was only fair to be there for him after he had a little argument with his daughter... And ever since, I find myself thinking about him far more than I ever have.. And in ways that I never have either.. I'm quite conflicted about it all.."
I said honestly.

Rosie raised a brow at me.
"Oh. I see.. Well, Alastor I never expected you to ever come to me with boy troubles!~"

I felt my stomach twist at those words.
"Oh please, it's not like that..."

"Are you sure about that?? Tell me this.. What kind of thoughts are you having about him?"
She asked.

"Well.. I guess I've just been noticing little things about him that I never noticed before. Like the way his nose scrunched when he is angry or upset.. And the way he speaks. His mannerisms.."
I trailed off..

When I looked back up at Rosie she was beaming.

"Oh my stars!! Alastor, you dog~ You're falling for him!!"
She exclaimed.

I suddenly felt a sense of panic.
"What?- Don't be so ridiculous!"

"No, it's true!! These are tell tale signs, hun! I always thought you were an ace in the hole but maybe I was mistaken!"
She said gleefully.

"I.. still don't know what that is."
I replied

"Don't worry about it. Anyways.. You are truly in a predicament, ain't you?? Such a fairytale story this is~ Star crossed lovers!~ A forbidden love! Doomed!~"
She cooed

I sighed, my smile faltering only a small bit as I felt my eye twitch.
"Rosie, please-"

"DOOMED!!~ A tragic love story!-"

"ROSIE."
I snapped.

She sighed and finally quite with the theatrics.
"Okay, okay, fine.."

I sighed in slight frustration.
"I don't quite know if we should bring 'love' into this, my dear.."

Rosie shrugged with a small smile.
"Well, if you were to ask my opinion, which I can only assume is why you're telling me all this in the very first place, I'd say you just might like his highness."
She said, taking another sip of tea.

I sighed.
"...Even if that were the case, what do you propose that I do?? I have a reputation to keep up, after all."

She reached across the table and placed her hand on mine.
"Well... I certainly can't control you... However, if it were me in that situation.. I'd talk to him. Explore that feeling deep down. See if he might be having the same problem. You never know, darling."

I paused and pondered what she said for a moment after she told me that... Then she shrugged and chuckled.
"But what do I know about love?? I ate my last husband!"

I let out a laugh along with her.
