Chapter 1

It was a beautiful and sunny Sunday. I was upstairs in my room doing homework. Well, I was trying to but was procrastinating the whole time. My parents usually go upstairs to their room around ten to eleven pm.

I finally finished all my homework around 12 am and right when I was going to go to bed, I heard a scream upstairs. I dashed for the bat in my closet and ran upstairs as fast and as quiet as I could. But it was too late. My parents were lying on the bed and there was blood splattered everywhere. I heard something behind me and turned around. It was too dark so I only saw a black figure. Because of the moonlight I can see the man's eyes.

I have never seen eyes like that before. The eyes were all black, not just the pupil but literally the whole eye. It seemed like the man was going to come up to me. Right at that moment I felt something hit the back of my head and it felt like it was going to explode. I turned around and there was a woman with the same eyes as the man. I quickly ran and hid behind my parent's bed. The man immediately took out a gun that looked like it was from the 19th century and shot the woman in the head. The woman didn't even flinch; she just walked up to him and stabbed him with a knife that had weird carvings on it. The second the knife went in the man's heart, his whole body lit up with bright orange light.

The next thing that I remembered was waking up in my parent's bedroom with the police everywhere. The second I got up, I ran to where my parents were lying when I found them. But it was too late, the police already took them. The only thing that was on my mind was who would kill my parents? They did nothing wrong, at least not that I know of and come on, my mom literally a soccer mom and my dad just works all day.

This makes absolutely no sense.

The police tried to find out who murdered my parents but they eventually gave up. They said that it was just an armed robbery gone wrong but I still believe that there is something more to this. It can't just be a robbery, not from what I saw. There has to be something behind all this and I am determined to find out what.
