Chapter 4

After that we shortly fell asleep. In the morning I heard a weird sound coming from my computer. I couldn't make out what it was but it sounded like a bunch of people whispering something. But that was not as weird as what was on my computer screen.

"caeruleum in finem platea domus vacua".

Luckily I've been learning Latin for almost four years now so I knew what the message says. I don't know why but my parents made me take Latin, even if I didn't want to.

"The abandoned blue house on the end of the street".

I immediately ran to Ava and woke her up. I tried to explain everything that happened before she came over as fast as I can. After I finished explaining, I told her about the message on my computer and the weird sound. Right after I said the translation Ava ran to my computer and started researching the wiki for the abandoned blue house.

"Ava, what are you doing?"

"This must be a sign and I have to find out everything about that abandoned house. The person that sent this clearly wants us to go there so we will."

"No, no, no, no Ava that is way to dangerous. For all we know this can just be sent by a person on the other side of the world for fun. "

"I doubt that and we will go there prepared. Whoever made this website pop up in you computer clearly wants to help you. See over here, we can go get some holy water to slow down demons." Said Ava pointing at my computer screen.

"Ok, fine. I'll go get my mother's computer."

"Great, let's do this." Said Ava.

We've been researching for hours and hours until Ava screamed.

"Ava, what happened are you aright? Where are you, answer me. Ava?" I shouted.

"I found it, I found the blue house. Here is everything about it." Said Ava pointing at a window.

"So it turns out that the house was last owned by a guy named John Fields back in 1937. The website also says that he was murdered in 1941, in the house. The case was never solved. Once in a while some teenagers went in the house drunk and had a little fun because it was said to be haunted by the spirit of John. They...never made it out alive." Said Ava quietly.

"We are not going in there. No Ava, no." I said.

"Yes Thea, yes. The wiki here says everything about spirits. Ghosts, also called spirits, are souls of deceased humans that did not get into heaven or hell and are stuck on earth. Look here, it says how to put a ghost to rest. Oh my god. It says to dig up the ghost's remains and salt it and then burn the bones."

"But what if the ghost was cremated?"

"I don't-oh it says here to salt and burn the object that the ghost is using to stay active in the human world."

"What if the demons that killed our parents are there? What are we going to do?"

"Glad you asked, we are going to exorcise the demons back to hell, where they belong." Ava said with a fake wicked laugh.

"Ok, ok so first we have to get holy water for the demons and paint, so we can paint something called a devil's trap. Then we have to get a lot, a lot of salt for the ghost and demon. I also read that we need to get iron since it's like salt to ghosts and also demons." I said.

"Yep, oh and it says here that if we make a circle of salt, we can keep the ghosts and also demons out for a while before they find another way to come in."

"I'll go get the salt, paint and a light because I got none. You go get the iron and holy water. Meet back here in one hour."

"Ok, see you in an hour."
