Chapter 3

After that day, I decided to stay home for five months. In those five months I did all kinds of research. I barely slept, ate and was researching every hour of every day. All the research that I got was crap until one day. I was searching the web for information on why the man and the woman both had those black eyes. It was definitely not normal. I've been searching online for ages and I got nothing. I kept searching until I was about to give up and suddenly a webpage just popped up my window. It was probably just another ad and I was about to close it but it didn't let me. All I can do was read it so I did since I had nothing to do.

The webpage was like a wiki for supernatural beings. There were supernatural beings that I have never even heard of like something called a "Rugaru" or a "Leviathan". The webpage shows what the being is, what its supernatural powers are and how to kill them. It's impossible that all these creatures are real.  The whole wiki is definitely fake. That was until I stumbled on the page all about demons. The page was full of information on demons. There were different rituals and spells like how to perform an exorcism or how to summon a demon. There were different types of exorcisms like reverse exorcism which is used if you want to trap the demon back in its host body. I didn't believe one thing about it but in the same time I was also really interested so I kept reading on how to know if someone is possessed by a demon.

"Possessed humans often look exactly the same as they did before possession, the only noticeable change being that their eyes will sometimes change color (black, red, white, grey, or yellow depending on the demon possessing them)."

Right after I read that sentence I immediately had a flashback of the night that my parents died and when I saw that black-eyed man and woman.

What, they can't be demons because demons are not real. I can't actually be thinking that this is true. This website just randomly pops up my window like there is someone that wants to me to know about it and I'm supposed to believe it?

Right at that moment, Ava came bursting through the doors and ran upstairs to my room.

"What's wrong, Ava are you ok?" I asked. Her face was all red and hot tears were streaming down her cheeks.

"M-m-my parents, they are dead." Ava replied. I ran and sat next to her on my bed.

"What, oh Ava when did this happen?"

"When I was coming home from school, I heard a scream in the house so I ran straight upstairs. My parents were just lying on the floor in their bedroom, dead. There was blood everywhere and it was horrible." She said through loud sobs.

"And there was two people, one man and one woman. An-an-and their eyes were pitch-black, it's unbelievable. I panicked and I quickly ran out the house without stopping."

"That is exactly what happened to my parents. I'm so sorry Ava. This is all because of me."

"No don't you ever say that Thea, this is not your fault but we will get to the bottom of this and we will get justice for what happened to our parents. " Ava said bravely.
