Three weeks had gone by like nothing. Beatriz had felt like it been only three hours. It had been strange.
Those weeks. She and Sarah had been trying to avoid the pack at all cost, trying to do everything for them to not find them. Even if the pack knew where they both lived, they hadn't at least dared to come any closer.
After much pressure from Sarah, Beatriz was going back to school. She had to at least try to finish her studies, she had two years left. Bea promised herself and Sarah she will try her best in everything.
Today was her first day back, she even drove herself to school. She couldn't count on Bella doing it for her anymore.
The day had went, well, tolerable. She heard the whispers of everyone as they saw her come back. The never never ending looks from them. She only found herself going two times to the bathroom, she popped in both occasions two pills. Four in total, it helped her. She even saw Bella looking at her, at the cafeteria, searching for their eyes to meet. Bea never gave in, she couldn't give in.
Now, she waited in the school parking, sitting in her cars hood reading a book. She had the urge to take a cigarette, but she would be called to the principals office. Then and there, she would look around her. Teenagers doing plans and laughing. It was friday, of course they would be doing something.
Bea always wondered about her life, what could it have been if her family wasn't what it was. She would probably started dating Tyler, she always knew he had a crush on her. Probably on the fall, their friendship would've blossomed onto something else.
She and Mike would still be friends, the best of them. He would be there when anything would happen. Bea always felt guilty when she saw him, he had tried to reach out on the fall, she had completely ignored him. She hated herself for it, he had helped once before, why was this so different from it. He knew everything about her, she knew everything about him. Mike and Bea. Bea and Mike. But not anymore.
She wouldn't have met Sarah, she wouldn't know her. Her secrets, her fears, her love for sunflowers. Nothings about her. She would only be Billy Blacks daughter, a stranger of the Rezz.
