Klaus looks at the bar in front of him. Natalia and Stefan stood by his side. Both of them were wishing that they were back home, but reality sets in.

They know that they can’t go back to Mystic Falls.

For two very different reasons. Stefan couldn’t go home because he knew that if Klaus followed he would find out that Elena was alive.

And for Natalia, she knew that she couldn’t leave Elijah behind.

“So are we just going to stand here, or are we going in?” Natalia asked with a hint of sass. Klaus gave her a look before entering the bar.

He had been quiet since the last time they talked and Natalia found it lovely. She really didn’t want to talk to Klaus. Stefan gave his sister a look, shaking his head lightly.

“Please don’t egg him on, I really don’t want to die,” Stefan said quietly. Natalia looked at her brother.

She knew it was wrong to egg on Klaus. That someone would get hurt. And that someone would be Stefan. She didn’t want to be the reason for her brother to get her.

“I’ll behave,” she whispered before following Klaus. Stefan shook his head and walked behind her.

“Ray? Ray Sutton?” Klaus asked the man in front of him. Ray turned around with a smirk on his face.

“Who wants to know?” he asked cockily.

“I've been looking everywhere for you. We started in Florida, Pensacola. I met a young chap there who you used to work with before you moved to Memphis, now he directed me to two lovely young women. And they led me here, to you,” Klaus said, and leaned on the bar with his signature smirk.

Ray looked a little panicked. “I think I'll be going.”

“Yeah, no,” Natalia said, and forced him back into his seat.

“Vampires.”

“Well actually, I’m the hybrid, my brother is the spiky blonde, he’s a vampire, and that’s Klaus Mikaelson, the first ever hybrid,” she whispered into his ear, looking directly at Klaus.

Klaus’ jaw clenched, but he focused on the task at hand. He told himself that he couldn’t be jealous of the man.

Her heart, body, and soul belonged to him. . . and Elijah.

“Now, tell me where your pack is,” Klaus said aggressively. He gripped Ray’s shoulder, making the werewolf cry out in pain.

“You can’t compel me,” he said, pushing Klaus off him. “It won’t work!”
