Chapter 1 - Daffy

TW: Drug usage, swearing (duh?)

She felt herself falling... down, down, it never seemed to stop until it did and she hit the ground hard. Ruby sat up, her entire body aching, and looked around. It was.. a bustling city. Ruby rubbed the back of her neck and stood up, only to be pushed back over by someone.. Or something, what the fuck was that?

"Watch it, bitch." She shivered, no one usually spoke to her that way. She shivered and stood again, her gaze lifting to the towering building and bright red- wait... Why is the sky red?

Ruby's head spun, "What the..." Suddenly it all came rushing back. Lucas and her had gone swimming and she'd felt herself being pulled under, unable to swim up to the surface.

She was dead.

No. That can't be it. She just had to find her boyfriend.

Someone else ran into her. "My bad, sorry toots." She looked up and screamed. "Shit- What happened?" He put his hands on her shoulders to steady her... all four arms.

"S-spider..." Was all she managed to say.

In turn he gave her a confused look. "Did you just die or somethin'?" He giggled. "I'm Angel Dust, welcome to hell toots."

Like the drug? And did he just say hell?

"Ruby." She reached out her hand and Angel Dust shook it.

"We gotta change that name of yours, doesn't fit your persona at all." He chuckled. "How about... Daffodil?"

Ruby burrowed her eyebrows at him. "What does that mean?" But then he motioned to her outfit and she looked down. "WHAT THE HELL AM I WEARING?" She barely had any clothes on and for some reason she had a tail- no two tails with little pink roses on the ends.

Angel just smiled. "It looks cute. With you're blonde hair you kinda look like a Daffodil."

"Blonde?" She was a ginger. She pulled a strand of her hair down and stared at it.

Okay, whats going on here? This isn't right.

"How do I go back?"

"Huh?"

"I need to go back."

"Toots, ya can't go back up there, ya died. Was that not clear with the whole 'welcome to hell' thing?" He crossed his lower pair of arms.

Ruby took a deep breath. "What do I do then? I need to warn Lucas and-" A finger covered her mouth.

"Don't trauma dump on me just yet, Daffodil."

"My name's not-"

"It is now."

Ruby- or rather Daffodil sighed.

Angel's smug grin faltered a bit. "Hey, there's this hotel I've been stayin at and I bet they wouldn't mind if ya stayed there for a bit."

Daffodil looked up at him. "Okay."

It took a few moments to walk to the hotel, it was big, really big. They walked inside and were excitedly greeted by a blonde girl a tad bit taller than Daffodil. "Hey Angel-" She eyed Daffodil. "OHMYGOSH!" She reached out and shook Daffodil's hand. "Hi! I'm Charlie! Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel!"

"Hi... I'm Daffodil." She let go of Charlie's hand and wiped it on her pants.

A light grey haired girl walked up behind Charlie and put a hand on her shoulder. "Calm down, Hon." She turned to Daffodil. "I'm Vaggie."

Daffodil smiled. "Hi."

Angel walked around the two girls and motioned for Daffodil to follow him.

Angel walked up to the bar and motioned to the cat who was cleaning a small shot glass. "Hey, whiskers~" He cooed.

The cat- whiskers? Just smiled and turned. "Hey, Angel."

Angel looked back at Daffodil, "Daffy, this is Husk. Husk, this is Daffodil."

"Daffy?" She raised a brow.

Angel smiled. "It's a nickname, toots."

Husk just grumbled. "What do you want to drink?"

Daffodil shrugged. "I'll take a shot of Vodka." She turned on the bar stool and saw a small red haired girl running around with what appeared to be a large sewing needle. "Who's that?"
Angel followed her gaze, "Oh, that's just Niffty."

Niffty turned at the sound of her name and scuttled up onto Daffodil's chest "Hi! I'm Niffty! I clean around here."

Daffodil pushed her off and she went back to cleaning. "Creepy..." Daffy muttered.

Husk placed the shot glass in front of her and she took it, she was feeling a headache coming on. "Ugh. I need to smoke a joint." She rested her face in her hands. (withdrawal hits hard)

Angel laughed. "We can find you something."

Daffy smiled. "Great."

Maybe while she's out she can look for Lucas, unless he was in heaven. God, he was an Angel.

Shut up, Ruby. Not now.

Right now they needed to focus on getting her some cannabis.

Daffy grabbed Angel's hand and they left the hotel, her head was spinning. "Where do they keep this shit?" She groaned.

Angel took her to a small vending machine and put in a few dollars, it expelled a bag of white powder and three cigars. He handed the cigars to her and kept the baggy. "I need a lighter." She stated.

"Oh, right." He opened a small hatch on the side of the vending machine and took one of her cigs, he clicked to light it and bathed the end of the cigarette in the flame.

Daffy took it back and inhaled the smoke. "Fuck. That's better..." She muttered after a moment. "Thanks, Angel."

"No problem toots." He rolled up a dollar bill and poured some white powder into a line on the ground in front of them.

"Isn't that a little unsanitary?" Daffy commented as he snorted the line.

"Speak for yourself." He sighed.

Maybe this won't be so bad after all.

A/N

CHAPTER ONE DONE BITCHES!!

Don't yell at me for not updating my other stories guys, I know. I'm working on the next chapter of Experiment 404 at the moment and I'm also almost done with chapter 3 of I choose you. So those will both probably update by the end of next week.

Anyway, Daffy was an OC I created for RP in a discord server I'm in and... I may or may not have killed her off (sewer slide) because of vent reasons... Anyway! I wanted to write a story to bring her back. Also I thought I could work her into some polyamorous representation :3.

As a poly person myself I want more representation that isnt boyfriends. the webtoon.

I want to make this similar to how I set up Lost Contact (if you read that, it was my discontinued KOTLC oc fanfic with my friend from a while back) where it switches POVs each chapter and tells each of their storied before they meet. In this case the three POVs will be Daffy (our she/her sinner main character), Zadkiel (our fruity he/it archangel), and Casil (our she/he winner). I know literally no one asked for/is going to read a random Hazbin Hotel oc insert thing but I want to write this so...
