Chapter 9 - Existential Crisis

Zadkiel laid face down on its pillow. His face was warm and his cheeks were bright red. He had kissed Casil, his newest friend. It glanced over at its phone waiting for the text saying; "sorry we can't be friends anymore".

There was a knock at his door. "Zadkiel? Are you in there?"

"Mhm.." Zadkiel replied with a grunt, not moving.

The door creaked open and he heard someone sit down beside him. "Are you alright, Zad?" Leroy asked, placing his hand on Zadkiel's head.

Zadkiel shrugged. "I think I fucked up my relationship with Casil..."

"Language, Z."

"Don't call me that," Zadkiel muttered.

Leroy sighed. "What happened with Casil?"

"I kissed him."

"What?"

"I kissed him," Zadkiel said again, lifting its head from its pillow.

Leroy snorted. "You had your first kiss and now you're, what, sulking?"

Zadkiel shook his head. "I'm not sulking, I'm preparing to get heartbroken."

Leroy's expression softened. "Zad, it's not the end of the world, plus what if she feels the same way?"

"Feels how? I don't even understand half the things I'm feeling... Maybe I'm just getting sick."

Leroy groaned. "Zadkiel Lucas."

Zadkiel looked up, confused, Leroy never said his full name.

"Stop stressing yourself out..." Leroy said in a soft, soothing voice. "It'll be fine. Why don't you message her and try to explain why you kissed her all of a sudden."

"But I don't know why I did that.."

"Do you like her?"
"Yeah"

"Do you desire to kiss her again?" Leroy raised a brow as Zadkiel reluctantly nodded. "Then tell her that."

Zadkiel buried his face in his pillow again. "I can't do that.." He muttered.

Leroy rolled his eyes and grabbed Zadkiel's phone. "Fine, I'll do it myself and if she acts weird about it you can tell her your beloved twin brother stole your phone as a joke. That sound good?"

"Leroy!" Zadkiel sat up and attempted to grab his phone out of Leroy's hand but once he did, a message had already been sent to Casil.

Z: Hey Casil, I really like you...

Zadkiel's face flushed after reading that message. "Leroy!" But he wasn't really angry. Instead, he began drafting another text.

Z: I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable today, if you don't want to be friends anymore I understand...

Casil was squealing when he got home, almost immediately he told Molly to come over and Molly was even more thrilled than he was. "You got kissed by an archangel!"

"I did!" Suddenly his phone beeped and he checked it. His eyes widened and he showed the message to Molly.

"Oh. My. Stars." Just as Molly finished reading another message came up. "What did you do to his poor heart?" Molly looked concerned and Casil flipped his phone around to read the message, replying quickly.

C: No! It's okay!! No hard feelings! :)

Zadkiel looked at the reply, reading it over and over again.

Z: You're not mad?

C: What? Why would I be mad? Molly is thrilled lol

Z: Yeah..

C: so, r u his boyfriend now???

Z:?

C: SORRY OMG MOLLY TOOK MY PHONE

C: offer still stands :3 - molly

Z: I mean, sure

C: Wait what? Seriously?

Z: Yeah

He messaged like his face wasn't bright red, he wasn't giggling or kicking his feet. "Leroy!" He rolled onto his back, his eyes closed, breathing steady and slow. "I think I have a partner..."

Leroy placed a hand on his forehead. "I'll leave so you two can talk." He seemed happy but his face didn't show it.

"Thanks, Lee, see you later."

A/N

In comparison I know this is short but I really didn't know what to put here. 

Additionally, I know slow burns are good but I couldn't resist. The slow burn will be with Daffy because they need to add her to their preexisting relationship. Idk I had to do this for my own sanity and also my own gayness.
