Hondo POV

2 Dead cops 1 dead civilian all white someone knew they were doing. Hicks says to add his input. Expert shot, Line of sight and escape route. Stone says military I add. No ID best we could do from surveillance cameras. Jess says disappointed we don't have any more info.

I try to tune out the rest of the nonsense because Hicks is Trippin. I decided I'm not gonna be his lapdog who is yes ma'am, I'll be damned I harass a bunch of Black people because he said so he thinks it's a smart move.

Come on I'll be rolling out. instead of treating the south side like hooligans, we're gonna treat them my family knows the saying get more honey than vinegar?

We head to the beauty shop to see if we can find a lead because all beauty shops do is gossip and do hair.

Evie Pov

after finding out a girl named Penny may give us a lead to the corporation that shot up the protest earlier today. Her ex may have seen the getaway driver. So we head to the corner store, Huncho goes in while staying outside. I am eyeing the hotdogs, clearly hungry realizing I didn't eat lunch before heading out. I've just been on the go. Huncho comes out with this guy. I'm guessing the person we're looking for who happened to be the hotdog owner.

I guess Hondo saw that we were hungry. dogs for all my guys, please. He pays him 2 10 dollar bills I could practically hug Hondo after he said that. I grab the first hotdog without any remorse have listen to the conversation. I'm pretty much invested in his hotdog. As I finally take a bite after putting all my condiments on, we're heading out. Chris grabs the second hotdog and tries to inhale it as she runs back to our ride.

We follow the tip we got at the hotdog station just to be interrupted by someone calling in a clear disruption of the peace. When we get to the location it is mayhem. It looks like white versus black is chaotic. People are yelling, and diffusing the situation to the best of his abilities. In the end, we locked the 14 African-American men. Because Commander Hicks, what does the apply pressure to the southside. An eye for an eye but when has that ever worked out?

Day later •••

How is it looking Stone Huncho asked me over the walkie. I was currently laying on the rooftop of the school building when some creep vowed to shoot 3 black people to make up for the 3 white cops that were shot we're all good clear skies so far. How's it looking down there Boss I ask back. we are almost done here again the last little bit of children on the bus. hey Boss, you got Friend navy pants, black shirt, red jacket behind the school, sign, staring at you for the last 60 seconds looks harmless might just wanna talk.

yeah, I see him Stone He might have some info for me you got my six.

I got your six-boss

Hate to say I was right about them being military, but who would've thought coming back home from defending our country? Made them want to flip the world on its head.

I head to headquarters as they wrap up today's mission. I take a shower in the locker room putting on my Back Up work outfit for today.

Aye Stone what are you still doing here we caught the guys. Hondo asked me coming into my office. Oh, you know just finishing up my report for today and making sure I file the rest of my paperwork, making sure I cross all my t and dot all my i before I head home.

So you're not going out with the guys to celebrate this week's win.

No, I'm OK. That's not my scene.

OK, so what exactly is your scene?

Well, if you're asking I'm more of a T-shirt, sweatpants chilling at home eating Chinese food, or some fattening takeout. Flowing conversation or listening to some oldies while playing board games with some friends. Despite my upbringing, I'm not really into parties or soirée or uptight settings, where I just can't be myself unapologetically.

I feel you well how about me and the team or you and I can one day come together and unapologetically be ourselves, but you're hosting?

All right, Hondo I'll hold you to that.
