Anjali woke up on empty bed. She freshened up and walked downstairs. She saw Aniket making breakfast. He smiled at her.
" Good morning, babygirl." He greeted her.
" Good morning, shy baby." She teased him as her last night's words played in his mind making him blush.
" Our parents are waiting for us at home." He said serving her breakfast.
" Why?" Anjali frowned.
" They want to proceed with our marriage." Aniket exclaimed feeding her.
" Oh! I see." Anjali said blankly and he took her on his lap.
" Why, kitten? Not happy?" He asked feathering her cheek.
" It's not like that." She said meekly.
" Then?" He asked.
" It's just... Di left too. I will leave too. I miss di already. After marriage..." He cut her off.
" So you don't want to leave house yet?" He asked and she nodded.
" Such a small thing." He pecked her cheek.
" What about after a week?" He asked.
" They won't approve. They are so excited with our marriage." She said.
" What do you think?" He asked.
" I want to spend 2 weeks at least with my family." She leaned towards his chest resting her head on his chest.
" As you wish, kitten." He pecked her forehead.
" You are the best." She hugged him and he ruffled her hair.
" Eat breakfast so that we can meet them." He said and she nodded.
They fed each other.
" Have you talked with Ishika yet?" He asked.
" No. Mom said not to call her at least for a week. She said let her adjust with her husband then we will call her daily." She exclaimed and he nodded.
" They are at a hotel." Aniket exclaimed.
" Hotel? Why?" Anjali frowned.
" He wants to do his brother's funeral first then take her to house." Aniket kissed her knuckles.
" You searched for me." Anjali smiled.
" I promised I will give you updates on them." He smiled back and she kissed his cheek.
They had their breakfast and went home. Alishka hesitated for getting them married in a week as her eldest daughter just got married and now youngest daughter too but to her surprise Aniket protested his mother.
" Mom why are you hurrying? Let's take it slow. She is not running away. Let's do mehendi and Sangeet after 2 week then wedding after a day of mehendi." Aniket suggested and looked at his father.
" Exactly, Anisha. Let's not hurry it. Marriage happens only once. Let's enjoy it." Sanket said and she complied.
" I was just excited. It's alright. After all it's kids marriage. As they deem fit." Anisha smiled and Anjali smiled at Aniket.
Aniket winked at her. Alishka understood that it was Anjali's idea. She smiled at how much understanding he is.
A week passed and it was the day of mehendi and in evening was sangeet. Anjali wore a blue attire.
