Taking half day from office Anjali and Naina decided to visit art gallery. They both went as decided and an art piqued Anjali's interest. It was drawn with crimson red colour and looked like an absolute blood dried. The painting had a girl's face with wavy hair and the girl was crying blood tears. Her feet itself strode towards it being mesmerized by it. Naina frowned and snapped her finger in front of her making her come out of her thoughts.
" Naina look it seems so real. And those tear drops look like a fresh blood dripping down. Even it's drawn with crimson red making it look like a dried blood." Anjali spoke mesmerized.
" Does it?" A voice came from back making them turn towards the sound.
A handsome, tall steely blue eyed man smiled at them. They both exchanged glances and looked forward towards the man. He walked slowly towards them and stood up in front of them. He had chiselled features. ' He can give a tough competition to Aniket.' Anjali thought then shook her head at the realisation of her thoughts.
" It's my work." He exclaimed smiling.
" You are N.B?" Naina asked and he nodded.
" How did you end up making it look like real blood? Do you also make statues?" Anjali asked with curiosity.
" Have you heard curiosity kills the bird?" He said with a sly smirk.
" I have but the difference is I am not a bird." Anjali said stern and he chuckled.
" Bold. Well I mixed black with dark red and experimented it with other red shades and discovered it." He said without wavering at her sharp gaze but she was not buying it.
" Not convincing enough but a good art." Anjali said nodding.
" Nico Bernardi. Nice to meet you." He smirked and her smile dropped.
" Boss." She was stun.
" Can I have the pleasure to know your name?" Her asked.
" Anjali Oberoi." She bowed.
" As your work you are interesting." Nico complimented and she smiled.
" See you around then." He said with intense gaze on her making her fidget with her finger nervously.
He walked away and she sighed with relief.
" Your boss is an artist too." Naina hummed.
" Let's go home." Anjali said and they drove home.
Naina got a call from her colleague and had to leave and Anjali entered inside. She saw no servants were around and Aniket's mother was also nowhere to be found. She frowned and went to library. She saw Aniket with papers and a glass filled with wine. He was sipping on it focused on papers. She found him handsome all focused. She kept staring at him from the door unaware that he turned to her. His lips curved a little up at her dumbfounded face.
" Anjali?" He said making a shiver ran down her spine and last night dream played in her mind making her cheeks go red.
" You, okay?" He frowned at her sudden red cheek.
She vigorously nodded making him chuckle.
" Come in." He said and stood up from his chair.
She took baby steps and stood beside him trying to peek in the papers. He grinned and leaned towards her ear.
" What important you found out?" He whispered near her ear making her startle.
" Tell me about the investigation too." She pouted and he shook his head with done face.
