It was 9:00 in the night, the stars were out, all possible lights had gone out and Taemin was still waiting. 'It's not too late right...? I want him to get rest too..' he worried then heard a knock on his door, Taemin walked over to open it and there he was.
"Im heree~ still up for a walk?"
"Are you sure you wanna go on a walk at this time? You were pretty much busy the whole day, I think you should rest"
"Im fineee, I want to go out on a walk with you Tae, pleaseee"
"If you're sure then..."
"Yay! C'mon let's go" Hoon began dashing off. Taemin kept up with him and followed him towards the outside, they walked out through the back this time.
"Even at night it's so nice outside, at least in the summer when it's not freezing cold" Hoon chuckled.
"Agreed" Taemin smiled
"Hey let's go sit over there!" Hoon pointed toward a bench
"Oh? We're not walking?"
"Later, I want to look at the stars~" Hoon rushed over and sat down. Taemin followed and looked up 'Wow I've never seen this many..'
"Aren't they so pretty to look at?"
Taemin looked over at Hoon "Yeah...they are"
"I want to one day make a special event with everyone here where we just have a small party at night to look at all the beautiful stars, maybe for a celebration of our success or something!"
"Im sure if you bring it up to the Ko she would try to set up a date for it"
"Hehe, she would, maybe after we get rid of that evil group, then I'll bring it up to her"
"Good idea"
"But most of all...I want you to be there when that happens, I'll work hard to find some kind of cure...it won't be easy, but I want to help you and the others out"
"Im sure you will, from what I've seen you're pretty smart, a pretty face with a smart brain" he chuckled
"You know, if you're trying to flirt with me you gotta use other words other than pretty face~"
"But you have a pretty face, is there something else you want me to call you hm?"
"No exactlyyyy...just sayingg" Hoon giggled
"Really? I'll try to do better next time then" Taemin laughed a bit. The two stayed out longer for a good while, once again talking about the small stuff, and getting to know each other well, by this point they were already friends with each other.
Taemin's small crush on Hoon grew bigger as he talked to him more. Once he got back to his room, hoon was all he could think about.
The next day was the same, they discussed the plan again and how it would go, discussing more exact details like timing. By the end, they all agreed to wait 6 more days till they sent off Dae to go spy on the group. Meanwhile, everyone did their duty, whether it was to go get more supplies, find more survivors, or keep researching.
Taemin and Hoon kind of built off a routine for themselves, Taemim joined Hoon for his breaks whether it be only 30 minutes or an hour, he still hung out with Hoon, sometimes they would go out for walks but there were some days they couldn't, till the day came where they had sent off Dae on the mission. The plan was simple, Dae would go off with two others following, that being Jae and Taemin, they followed closely but hidden so that if anything bad were to happen to Dae they would hop out and protect him, they drove more than halfway to the mall through the van and dropped him off, the van left somewhere else while the three made their way towards the mall.
Taemin and Jae were hiding behind some rubble near the parking lot of the mall, near Dae.
"Seems to be some tough security people there huh?" Jae said
"Yeah..they look focused and serious...best we keep out of sight" Taemin peeked.
Dae walked up to them, they immediately raised their guns at him.
"Who are you??"
"Im not here to cause any harm, whatever you need to do, do it, just bring me over to the main guys, that's all I ask"
"And why would we do that?"
"If you take me to them they'll know who I am, tie my hands or whatever you need to do, just take me with them"
The guards paused, they ended up tying up his hands, searched him for any weapons, and brought him inside the mall.
"Looks like he did it" Taemin sighed
"Good! We can start heading back now"
Taemim nodded and the two sneakily walked away from the area. The van came to pick them back up and brought them back to the base. When they got there they reported to Ko and announced their success.
"Good job you two, looks like now we'll just have to wait a few more weeks, as we planned, and go back to get some info from Dae"
"yes ma'am!" Jae smiled
"You may go work on your other work then" Ko dismissed the two. Taemin walked out feeling helpful 'Dae got there safely...hopefully nothing bad happens to him In there...' he walked towards the stairs, he took the stairs since there were probably too many people taking elevators and he wanted to keep it safe since Hoon wasn't there with him.
As he returned to his floor he looked around hoping maybe Hoon was there, but he wasn't. 'I hope I didn't miss his break, I haven't talked to him at all today' he thought sadly. He decided to just stick around the hallways. He sat down doing nothing mostly, once again. The day passed by quickly but Taemin still hadn't seen Hoon 'He must be tired from working hard, I shouldn't bother him' He walked to his room, which was time to go in anyway, someone else came by today to lock up the rooms. Taemin laid down on his bed 'hopefully tomorrow I can see him...I get so lonely when he's not with me..' he shut his eyes and waited till tomorrow.
