next day-

Sonic opened his eyes and with a groan he rolled over to where his face was buried into his pillow, he waited for a minute till he finally rolled out of bed and rubbing his eyes he left his room and walked to the kitchen where Silver was making breakfast.

"Hi Sonic." Silver greeted.

"Hi.." Sonic responded walking to the sink to get a glass of water.

"Are you alright?" Silver asked, concerned.

"Yeah, just tired." Sonic nodded before drinking the water.

"Well breakfast will be done soon." Silver said, putting some bread in the toaster.

Sonic looked over at him for a second before walking over to the toaster where the bread was cooking, he watched it close and waited.

"Three.. two.. one.." Sonic counted down trying to catch the exact moment it would pop out but it didn't. "Hmm.. three two one..? One? One? Ah when will it come?"

POP

Sonic jerked in surprise and watched as the toast flew out of the slots and went behind him, quickly he turned just in time to see a black hand grabbed one of them out of the air, and unfortunately the other landed on Sonic's head making him squeak from the heat of it on top his head.

"Ouch.." Sonic muttered after quickly taking it off and dusting off his head. "Is it just me or does toast just really not like me?"

Both chuckled at that and Sonic glared at them not thinking it the least bit funny. "This was the hundredth hot toast attack this month."

"Well at least it wasn't water." Silver stated with a slight shrug.

Sonic subconsciously shivered at the thought. "That would be a million times worse."

"What is it with you and water?" Shadow asked, looking at Sonic.

"I don't really know." Sonic shrugged. "I guess it is just a fear I have had since I was born, though it doesn't make sense since I can't die, maybe it is the fact that I um.. feel so helpless under water."

"can't you swim?" Silver asked, looking over his shoulder.

"Uh.. no." Sonic shook his head.

"What about your powers?" Shadow questioned.

"My fear gets spiked so bad that my whole body and mind locks down so I can not even think of doing it." Sonic answered.

"Well at least you can't drown." Silver stated.

"True." Sonic replied before eating the toast.

"Alright, breakfast is ready." Silver said.

All three sat and ate their breakfast and once they finished Silver and Shadow went to the living room to watch some tv while Sonic turned to the door and got ready for his daily run.

"I will be back soon, bye." Sonic waved.

"Bye." The two responded before Sonic zipped out the door.

Sonic ran for a bit till he finally stopped near the wood line, glancing around he walked over and sat down his back up against a tree trunk and his hands clasped behind his head, with a small sigh he closed his eyes and took a break for a little while.

"Sonic?"

Sonic's ears twitched from that voice and he opened his eyes to see a chipmunk standing a few feet in front of him.

"Sally?" Sonic asked, confused. "I thought you didn't want to talk to me anymore."

"I never said that." Sally replied. "I just said I needed time to think things through."

"You have been avoiding me for months." Sonic pointed out.

"Well I have some time now, do you want to walk with me?" Sally asked with a small smile.

"Sure." Sonic agreed, getting to his feet.

They both then walked along the street but didn't really go into the town since everyone now considered Sonic a monster like Shadow and Silver.

"Are you okay?" Sonic asked.

"Yeah." Sally nodded.

"Are you sure? You seem stressed." Sonic said, looking at her.

"I just.." Sally sighed, stopping in her tracks and staring at the ground. "I just want to know, are you one of the monsters that attacked and terrorized this town?"

"I um.. I can't say." Sonic said, looking away.

Sally stared at him for a moment. "You are.." she mumbled, slowly backing away.

"Sally.." Sonic tried.

"No, you are the one that attacked me! Put me in that horrible nightmare!" Sally snapped. "You are a monster."

"Sally, please let me explain." Sonic pleaded, putting out his hands trying to calm her down.

"Sonic.." Sally said quietly, looking away for a moment and taking a breath she slowly looked back up at him. "I'm sorry, for this."

Sonic tilted his head in confusion but before he could do anything someone grabbed him from behind and held him still a hand now over his mouth as someone stuck something into his arm, he struggled against the grip and thinking quickly he vanished and emerged a distance away where he turned and ran off but his vision was starting to blur causing him to see two of everything.

He shook his head in an attempt to clear it but it only got even more foggy, his head was pounding to the rhythm of his heart which was thumping quicker than usual till it suddenly started to slow and he almost blacked out but he fought it off determined to get away but his speed was decreasing dramatically, putting his hands on his head he tried to get himself to calm down but he was starting to feel rather loopy.

Suddenly he collided with something sending him to the ground, his head hit the hard concrete almost making him black out but he again pushed it away as he scrambled backwards away from the blurred figures that were walking towards him like a bunch of predators waiting for the right moment to pounce on their prey and unfortunately he was the prey so he quickly backed away from them.

He tried to use his powers to protect himself but with this foggy feeling it made things almost impossible, so at the moment he was completely defenseless and they were reaching down for him making him panic, he was now seeing dark spots dance before his eyes and not wanting to pass out he got to his feet only to stagger and fall to his hands and knees which were trembling horribly and he couldn't even support his weight anymore as he got even weaker from whatever they had injected into him.

"Shouldn't he be out cold by now?" One of the blurred figures asked.

"Not necessarily, he is not a normal mobian, his body is bound to have a different reaction than normal people." Another stated.

Sonic suddenly felt his stomach start to convulse making his weakened form even more unstable as he opened his mouth allowing the contents of his stomach to empty out onto the pavement.

"You spoke too soon." The first muttered.

Sonic felt himself convulse again but his stomach was now empty so it made it even more uncomfortable, putting a hand on his stomach he closed his eyes as he panted for air.

"I think he is recovering." The third said.

The second nodded and slowly went up behind Sonic and without another word he stuck him again with a needle.

Sonic winced from it but he was too weak now to even fight back and within a few more seconds he collapsed to the side with a small moan.

The third then picked Sonic up and slung him over his shoulder, the three then disappeared into the woods, Sally watching it all play out and once they were no longer in view she turned and went back home like nothing ever happened.
