A nightmares disappearance

Chapter 5

-with Shadow and Silver-

The two hurried to Robotnik's base as fast as they could and came to a stop near a very large dome that appeared to have no doors or windows, nothing whatsoever just a large slick dome.

"How are we supposed to get in?" Silver wondered.

"By force?" Shadow suggested.

"Wait, there's a door." Silver pointed out.

Quickly they went to it and tried to open the slide doors only to be disappointed when they found it was reinforced, not to mention stuck. Irritated the two started spin dashing it non stop till they got some pretty decent dents into it, they kept trying till a force field was suddenly put up around the dome knocking them backwards.

"Oh come on!" Silver shouted angrily.

Shadow pulled himself back to his feet and tilting his head slightly reached out a hand to the forcefield that was giving off a bit of dark mist that reacted to him being there and slowly the mist went to his outstretched hand and twirled around his fingures.

"Shadow, I think this is nightmare." Silver said, observing the force field.

"Then it proves Robotnik has our brother." Shadow growled, ears pinned flat against his head.

Silver looked at the mist on the force field around Shadow darkening and he realized that wasn't good, quickly he lunged at the black hedgehog and knocked him down just in time as a shot of mist was fired.

Confused, the two looked to see the mist that was fired like a spear morphed into a monster that roared menacingly at them, quickly they got to their feet and backed away from both the shadowy creature and the protected dome that shot even more misty blasts that also morphed into monsters, suddenly their shadows grabbed them and knocked them down where they landed with a grunt, misty ropes then came up and wrapped around their throats pinning them to the ground as nightmare pulsed from the mist ropes that tightened their grip causing them to close their eyes as horrible nightmares played out in their forced sleep.

Shadow and Silver ran side by side running from people that only thought of killing them, they went as fast as they could but it seemed like they were going nowhere, stopping their useless escape they turned to face their doom that was coming at them with weapons at the ready and within a minute they were surrounded, unsure what to do they backed into each other and stared at everyone who was walking closer to them and now holding sticks they started to prod at them calling them names and other things that weren't really the best to relay.

Suddenly one hit Silver hard directly in the chest knocking the wind out of him and causing him to fall to his knees trying to ignore the people that were hitting him even harder making him cry out in pain, Shadow turned and knelt down next to his brother as he too was hit harder.

"No!!!"

Both looked up to see a dark ball coming down at the group and landing in front of Shadow and Silver, it was a hedgehog with quills curved upwards a colored a dark blue his once peach belly was the same color as the rest of him and he looked rather crystaly this tips of his limbs were a lighter color and his eyes were a dark green and where it was white it turned deep red giving off the effect of being cracked.

Sonic raised his hands and with a glow surrounding them he banged his fists against the ground causing a burst of energy to explode all around them blasting everyone and everything back till the three were left in a vast black void, Sonic then stood up straight and turned to look at them.

"Hi." Sonic greeted with a slight smile.

"Sonic!"

The two suddenly jumped up at him and pinned him to the ground or what seemed to be the ground, Sonic stared at the red and gold eyes that were locked on his green which by now went back to normal along with the rest of his body
