Ser Cleos was also known as Cousin Cleos, he was the son Of Emmon Frey and Genna Lannister, born in 257/276AC.Ser Cleos married Jeyne Darry, together they had two children, Tywin Frey and Willem Frey.Ser Cleos was killed by arrows from the Brave Companions in 299 AC.Recent Events: Due to his Lannister blood, Cleos fights for the Lannisters when fighting breaks out in the Seven Kingdoms, although House Frey joins House Stark. Cleos is captured along with Ser Jaime Lannister at the battle in the Whispering Wood.Robb Stark, King in the North, sends Cleos from Riverrun to King's Landing with his peace offer. The captive knight is alarmed by Grey Wind, Robb's dire wolf. Cleos promises to resume his captivity at Riverrun after completing his mission. Despite carrying a peace banner, Cleos's party is attacked twice by broken men, suffering three dead and six wounded. Tyrion Lannister, the acting Hand of the King, and his sister, Queen Cersei Lannister, reject Robb's offer at the capital. Tyrion sends Cleos back to Riverrun with the Lannister counteroffer, along with an escort of a hundred red cloaks led by Vylarr.Cleos brings the bones of Lord Eddard Stark to Riverrun. Despite arriving under Cleos's peace banner, four false envoys attempt to free Jaime from his Riverrun captivity in a scheme devised by Tyrion. After the plot fails, Jaime is moved to Riverrun's dungeon and an unknowing Cleos is imprisoned in the tower cell previously occupied by Jaime. Catelyn Stark has a flagon of wine sent to Cleos so that he is inebriated before she questions him.Catelyn releases Jaime from the dungeon, tasking Brienne of Tarth with escorting him to King's Landing in exchange for her daughters, Sansa and Arya Stark. Cleos is released as well, with Catelyn giving him new terms to bring to Cersei. Cleos promises to send a raven after Tyrion releases the girls. Jaime has his head shaved by Cleos, his cousin. Cleos is present for the river chase by Ser Robin Ryger, and he complains when Brienne insists they cannot remain at the Inn of the Kneeling Man. Cleos rides a palfrey as they depart from the Red Fork. On the road between Maidenpool and Duskendale, the trio is ambushed by outlaw archers. Cleos is hit by arrows, and his horse spooks and drags him across the ground, killing him. Jaime uses Cleos's sword to fight Brienne before the two are captured by the Brave Companions, who then divide up Cleos's possessions.Frustrated by Brienne's stubbornness while riding from Harrenhal to King's Landing, Jaime finds himself unexpectedly missing Cleos.During the siege of Riverrun, Jaime speaks of Cleos's death with his parents, Genna Lannister and Ser Emmon Frey. Jaime lies by claiming that Cleos was buried by a stream after scattering outlaws.
