Central Calendar 1639, Month 11, Day 14. 1st Foreign Affairs Department, outer gardens of the Paradis Palace, Parpaldia Empire

"Those ungrateful, insolent barbarians! Against His Majesty's kindness - they dare to snark those remarks!" said Remille angrily as she read the report summary that she dictated to one of the secretaries.

Next to her was Elt, who was reading over her shoulder.

"I am serious, Elt! This report based on this morning's meeting is too soft! I will personally send the letters not to give them mercy!" The Head of the 1st Foreign Affairs Department shrieked as she took a piece of paper and a dip pen before jotting down something while cursing.

"These barbarians... Wishing for their destruction. Their leaders are unbelievably just as stupid as themselves. For the Alliance of Barbarian Nations to feel no sense of crisis over the extermination of their people is something that I cannot understand..." she added more.

Elt felt a little sympathy for Remille. The Parpaldia Empire had destroyed many other countries, which would be yet another.

"Oh, dear... Dealing with not one but five countries outside of the civilised is truly a bother... Unfortunately, this is also something that the 1st Foreign Affairs Department is not used to deal with, right?" said Elt.

"Particularly that Malaysian lady they called Zulaika! How dare she raise her voice before a noblewoman of the Empire!? It's better that once we defeat the Alliance, I'll ensure she and her family are fed to the Lindwurms!" Remille grumbled in frustation.

Then, there was a knock on the door of their office.

"Come in," said Elt.

The door opens to reveal Elt's subordinate, Hans, a young intellectual-looking man with mop-top hair while his outfit resembles a sort of uniform 18th-century frock coat with epaulettes, and he looks nervous.

He rushed into the office while carrying various approved documents.

"What's the matter, Hans? If you want to talk with Lady Remille, you can see she is quite busy with matters at hand," said Elt.

"Well, Ms Elt. It's regarding the conflict with the Fenn Kingdom. Lately, we have been closely monitoring any requests for observers from the other superpowers," said Hans.

"Hans, if you're referring to the Holy Milishial Empire, they have already informed us that they do not intend to send an observer," Remille interrupted before she continued with her writings.

"Yes, that's true, Lady Remille. As always," Elt agreed.

"Now, Hans. May I know when the Federation of Mu will be sending their delegates to the Parpaldia Empire?"

Hans's face scrunched up as he seemed to appear conflicted.

"We... We have confirmed that the Federation has declared that they will not be sending any delegates to the empire. Instead, they dispatched a team of theirs to the United Kingdom of the FPDA," said Hans.

Elt and Remille, who was busy with her writing but overheard his words, were surprised. This will be the first time in the history of the Parpaldia Empire that a superpower refused to send any of its envoys to their nation and rather opted to send them to a nation that is outside of the civilisation area.

"What in the blaze have they gotten themselves into!?" Remille snapped angrily.

"Lady Remille... We... We... We don't know. Yet, according to the rumours spreading within the Imperial Forces, if we take the Federation's ability to gather intelligence into consideration... They... They are sent to the side that seems likely to win would be the most logical conclusion," explained Hans.
