soobin:
- "i think it's going to rain soon," you stated, looking out of the window to see the grey clouds rolling in quickly across the sky before looking down at your summer dress and soobin's crisp white shirt, all dressed up to go for a picnic
- as soon as the words left your mouth, a flash of lightning brightened the sky before a clap of thunder followed and water droplets started hitting against the window
- "looks like we'll have to go another day," your boyfriend said, a bummed expression on his face, before his face brightened with an idea
- "i've always wanted to try cooking a meal together, how does that sound?" he suggested and you agreed readily, already thinking of what dishes you could make
- after putting on matching aprons for each other, the two of you set to work, finding ingredients in the fridge to make a few simple dishes for lunch
- soobin had decided to make dumpling soup with noodles while you decided to make kimchi fried rice
- "y/n, doesn't this look good?" soobin asked, proudly showing off his completed bowl of noodles while you raised a brow, impressed at how similar he managed to make it look to the recipe for someone who didn't cook regularly
- "i'm done," you announced, scooping the fried rice onto two plates before joining him at the dining table
- "which one should we try first?" "yours is supposedly more bland, so we should eat that first."
- the moment you put a spoonful of soup into your mouth, you froze at the taste of seawater and quickly swallowed it before looking at soobin, who was watching you expectantly, obviously unaware of what had happened
- "is it good?" he asked anxiously while you grimaced. "babe...how much salt did you add to this?" you asked, while his eyes widened and he took a spoonful of soup as well, and you would've laughed at how his facial expression changed so drastically if it were not for the lingering taste of salt in your mouth
- it was safe to say that the next time it was a rainy day, cooking would not be on the list of alternative activities to do
yeonjun:
- yeonjun was never really a big fan of rainy days as it dampened his mood, so when he was woken up by the sound of rain hitting against the windows, he was a little upset
- when you heard him sigh and lie back down, you woke up as well and saw him pouting and hugging his pillow
- "i was really looking forward to going to the beach with you today," he explained, clearly disappointed his plans for the day was ruined
- "me too," you admitted, also feeling bummed
- "oh! you know how i've been talking about making porcelain mugs? i recently bought a pottery kit online and it just arrived a few days ago, we could do that if you want," you suddenly remembered and suggested as he brightened up and quickly agreed
- after breakfast, the two of you sat at the coffee table, opening the pottery kits and reading the instructions, trying to figure out how it worked
- "we should make matching cups for each other!" yeonjun said, showing you an idea inspiration he had found online, seeming to have forgotten that he was sad about the rain
- "it's a little crooked," yeonjun frowned, showing you the handle of the mug he made for you as you turned to look at the mug, not knowing you had accidentally gotten clay on your face
- "there's clay on your...cheek," yeonjun paused, his thumb frozen on your face as he realised his hands were covered with clay too. "oops."
- a playful glint flashed past your eyes as you reached up and swiped your finger on his nose, smearing a spot of clay on his face as well. "there, we're even now," you said, chuckling at his shocked expression
