For the holiday we did nothing more than relax, from watching movies to swimming.

Am enjoying my birthday so far, I had a whole ball last year, now that I have mature, have kids, have a whole family, I don't think I want to go all out this year, finally an adult.

To me, you're not an adult until you leave the teen stage

Getting both income from pathner and father, I had to make something of myself, am think about going back to school for medicine, but it's not a surety.

" B, come here," Jay voice stated, tapping on my shoulder.

Looking up at him, I notice that I am the only one in the living room.

" Where is everybody," I asked, taking his hand.

" Outside," He stated casually.

Leading me outside, we stand in the dark.

" Why uno nuh turn on the light outside," I asked, walking towards the door so I could turn them on.

" I just wanted us to watch the stars alone in the dark, with just the bright moonlight shining down on us," He informed, pulling me back.

He led me over to a table that had candle lights lit around it, with food and alcohol on the table.

Taking my chair, he walked around to the other side.

We ate and talked

Shuffling could be heard in the bushes, and he removed his gun and started walking towards it.

" Gwan inside," He stated sternly.

" No, mih nah, leave you one out here," I stated stubbornly.

" Just listen and gwan in nuh b ," He plead.

" No gwan mih a come," I informed walking behind him.

As we approached, a loud explosion could be heard.

Ducking down, I ended up falling on my back.

Looking up, I saw that it was fireworks.

Looking up at Jay, I could see the smile on his face.

" Surprise," Voices echo throughout the back yard cause me to jump.

Looking around, I spot everybody

I started crying

" Get up, mek wi go in go pull gift," Paris said, pulling mih up.

Walking ahead of everybody I reach for the door handle but froze as I felt the thick paste on my body, looking back I spot  Jay holding a bucket, seconds later the flour was caked to my skin and hair due to the cold bucket of water that was thrown.
