"hello what can I get for you two?" the waitress asks.
"Hi can I just have a Dr Pepper and a chocolate chip muffin" I say smiling.
"Of course, and for you" she asks luke who's sitting at the other side of the booth.
"um can I have an iced americano please that's it" Luke says. "Of course!" the waitress says walking away.
"Bells. a Dr Pepper at 8:30 am. you need to work on this obsession" Luke says laughing.
"what can I say" I shrug my shoulders.
" so" Luke starts "next Saturday me and my family are going to our lake house in Michigan, I really want you to come." he says.
"lukey I haven't met your family at all dont you think it might be awkward?" I question.
"my family is very welcoming I promise, and my mom will for sure love you who wouldn't right" he says making me giggle.
"true, but who's gonna be there, I wouodnt want to ruin any family time" I say.
"trust me bells you won't be running anything. we go every year and every year we bring friends. you'll love it" he says making me feel a little better.
"I'll think about it" I say.
"Isabelle Russo I will not take no for an answer you are going" he says.
"Oh fine I'll go" I roll my eyes and he gets all excited.
"Oh I just can't wait , my mom is going to be so happy." He says smiling.
"how is it we've been friends for over a year and I still haven't met your family" I say shaking my head.
"Don't know bells but all that matters is that your meeting them now and I'm so excited" he says squealing like a child.
"if you want you can come over for dinner or something so you can meet my family it'll be less awkward for you" he says and I nodd.
"Yeah that sounds great, what day though you know me and my busy schedule" I groan.
"I'll ask my parents later" he says.
"Okay" I say as the waitress comes over with our drinks and my chocolate chip muffin.
"Thank you!" I say smiling.
"No problem" she says walking away.
"That girl is a dime" Luke says making me roll my eyes.
"Luke! Be respectful" i laugh. "what I'm just being honest" he says.
FAST FOWARD WEDNESDAY NIGHT
as I'm packing my suitcase I get an incoming facetime from Luke.
I asnwer and set my phone up so he can see me. "hey lukey" I say folding clothes.
"hey bells, just wanted to make sure we're still on for dinner tomorrow night." He says.
"yeah I'm just packing stuff for the trip on Saturday."
"Okay my mom is so excited to meet you" he says laughing.
"yeah I am to." I say smiling "and by the way, on Saturday are you gonna pick me up"
"yeah Quinn is going with my parents and there picking up Trevor, me and you are going with Jack and his girlfriend" Luke says making my stomach drop a little.
I mean, Jack Hughes is one of the most attractive men in the nhl so him having a girlfriend isn't to surprising, but I was looking forward to meeting him.
"oh jack has a girlfriend" I say
"yeah, don't sound to disappointed bells shes lowkey a bitch" he says.
"I'm not disappointed just didn't know" I say
"sure bud" he says chuckling.
"I should get going lukey I got a lot of packing to do" I say looking at all the clothes scattered on my apartment floor.
"Okay, and for dinner tomorrow wear something casual, I know your gonna be tearing apart your closet like a wild animal looking for something to wear" he say and I nodd.
"Okay, bye Lukey pookie" I say smiling.
"Cmon you know I hate when you call me that" he says rolling his eyes.
"Oops. Bye!" I say and hang up.
I put a bunch of my clothes into my giant suitcase that I can finally use, I've had this thing forever and never used it.
after about an hour of packing my clothes and watching love island usa season 6, I figure it was best to finish tomorrow or Friday.
it was already 7 o'clock so I took an EVERYTHING shower for dinner tomorrow.
I have a love and hate relationship with everything showers, like after you feel so good and like a new person but it's so much work during.
but after I got out I put love island back on and eventually fell asleep.
